zworqy
Advanced technology is one thing, that MIGHT be possible, but HUMANS "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away" is just too stupid... is there any explanation? ...and why is the Star Wars "universe" often referred to as it's in the future when in fact it's in the past? Their technology is more advanced than ours, so it's futuristic. Also--do you know exactly what happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away? Do you??? I didn't think so. Let it go big guy--see Star Wars is what we like to call 'a movie.' You can rationalize it any number of ways... for example, maybe their just human because they are the species we are supposed to be identifying. Perhaps within the construct of the tale they are actually a different species, but it helps from a storytelling perspective to make them human. Just think a little abstractly... greedo626
time does not flow like a river. the past, future, and present are all happening at the same time. so a long time ago may be right now... freaky:confused:
legameboy
In star wars, the 'humans' are called humanoids, so they arent the same. plus the movie takes place in another galaxy, so the have advanced technology, and a long time ago refers to that the Star Wars galxy exploded and then it was no more, i hope this makes it clear
Obi-Doo
Humans a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away is much more likely to excist than the force.
JediGhost[SITH]
How come they had the force a long time ago and far away, but we don't have it right now really near? Also, why do they speak English? Didn't the humans on earth come up with english? Their methods of communcating shouldn't be anything close to english..

Kid Hanover
Zworgy is correct... It is incredibly stupid...and while were at it...what's with Yoda... Kemit The Frog would have been a better character to introduce as a jedi trainer. Jim Henson was behind all these stupid muppets that have become philosophical icons. The entire story is a fairy-tale for children. It's amazing how so many people treat it as a religion. I Love Star Wars....only because I did as a child. It shouldn't be that bothersome whem someone points out a logical flaw in the concept. I never did like Yoda however....stupid muppet. To all I've offended..so sorry. To see how obsessive STAR WARS fans appear to NORMAL people visit this link............. http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/video/tv/nerds.html

It has a lot of zany embelishments and wacky plot twists. Religions are generally founded on fairy tales--every read greek mythology?
