Okay, to turn this thread around into something more useful...

 

...it might be a nice concept to have a mod level with asteroids, either as an SP mission-based scenario, or an MP CTF gig. Zero gravity is certainly possible in SP (as the Doomgiver level proved), and it might make an interesting battle having to float between either two asteroids, or an asteroid and a ship.

 

I remember well the asteroid levels from MotS, so they certainly have their part to play, and can add some nice variation to level themes.

There is a level that has asteroids/meterorites come down on the level...

How about a base set on an asteroid, were the gravity is naturally lower than normal?

 

On another note, a "primitive" (for the SW universe) ring space station, with full gravity on the long outer corridor (possibly more scenic and large), running all the way down to zero gravity in the centre. Does anyone know if it's possible to include variable gravity over a level?

 

Another odd idea - A level based on large rocks (possibly very large) that are slowly being floated into the maw of a gigantic smelter. The asteroids would float down (or whatever orientation, I like "down") into the smelter, and result in the detah of anyone foolish enough to still be on one when it reached it - you could keep jumping up to higher ones and continue the fight, with rocks of all different sizes and speeds coming down. Would it be possible to randomly create "rocks" with random speeds to fight on (ranging from miniscule rocks that get in the way, or can be used as platforms for the fleet of foot, to huge ones larger than bespin streets duel platform)? Or would it be necessary to have a large "ring" of prepeared rocks and rotate it through the level? (meaning all rocks move at the same speeds, and the possibility of repeating the pattern, has the advantage of being more controllable)

 

Oh well, just throwing a few ideas at it.
