no offense to vader's fan, but why is it sooo cool about vader? He doesn't even fight as cool and GOOD as Darth Maul. Personally I think darth maul is a kick ass sith, and could OWN any jedi, Xcept Yoda. But Obi got really really really really lucky, and sliced maul in half =(....

Vaders general demeanor - the gestures, the way he walks, talks, and his total authority/vunrability make him very interesting to watch.. IMO anyway:D

-Jaba the hut-He isnt so much evil. He is mostly a lazy crimelord who is only in it for the $.

 

-Jango isnt evil as well. He will take on a job as long as you pay him.

 

-NuteGunray-Isnt evil at all. In fact he is sort of a coward. He is looking for power but he doesnt have the smarts or balls a sith does.

 

-Sebulba- He is evil? I dont think so. He is just a competitive guy who plays dirty.

i also think vader's fighting ability on screen is not a real picture of his ability in what lucas actually had in mind

i think it was the actors physical limitations (obi wans included, and lukes) that prevented them from fighting the way maul did

although they more than made up for it with the superb acting ! except luke lol

yea, you have to remember Ray Park (DMaul) is a martial arts & gymnastic specialist, unlike the other actors we see... (even stunt doubles)..

 

I think in EPIII you'll see Darth Vader fighting in a more aggressive style!

In terms of actor, it's Christopher Lee as Count Dooku, hands down. He's got such a commanding presence, it's amazing. Love Christopher Lee.

 

In terms of SW canon, probably Vader. Maul too.

Darth Maul vs. Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus:

 

Maul faught Obi-Wan and Qui-gon at the same time! Dooku faught Obi wan and Anakin-yes I know, BUT not at the same time.

Maul did it at the same time and was winning. He even kicked Obi wan with a sith power kick:). Thats how he got left behind. Anyhow after Maul had Qui gon 1 on 1- Qui gon was history. Obi wan was a gonner too vs. Maul 1 on 1. Maul had him beat, but he was arrogant messing with Obi wan, taunting him. Maul knew he was better. I mean he had just killed his master(Qui-gon), who had to be better than Obi wan at the time.

Darth Maul would have his way with Dooku. Dooku is used to fighting 1 on 1, while Maul can take multiple ememies at once.

Plus Dooku is old. He would tire after a while. I mean Qui-Gon is younger than Dooku and Maul had Quigon sitting down resting in the energy doors, while Maul paced around without a sign of fatigue. Dooku would be tierd real quick fending off Mauls attacks. He would eventually let his guard down. Then slice and dice.

WINNER=MAUL

 

Darth Maul vs. Darth Vader:

 

Maul would have taken out Vader too. I mean A n00b force user and cough*Jedi*cough Luke had Vader beat. Maul would strike Vader twice as fast and furious as Luke did. And Maul wouldnt have stoped after he took off Vaders hand like luke did.

WINNER=Maul

 

Darh Maul vs. Darth Sidious:

 

This would never happen. Maul is 100% loyal to Sidious. You could say Sidious is like a father to him. Sidious trained Maul since he was a kid. Maul was the closest thing Sidious had to a kid. Dooku was old. Sidious took him as an aprentice so Dooku could do his dirty work. Vader also. He needed Vader. I dont think Vader veiwed Sidious as a father figure. This is proven when he goes against the emperor and saves his son.

Sidious Molded and raised Maul to his likeing. He made his into a pure Evil Sith Lord. He was basically a fighting/killing machine. He was Sidious's enforcer. Unlike Dooku and Vader-who also were like generals comanding troops and stuff. (Dooku was leading the seperatists and vader was like a general). All of Maul purpose was an enforcer. He even rarely spoke. He was trained for combat, nothing else. Sidious knew that he could take out Jedi knights. He even told him "they should be no match for you my young aprentice". If Maul didnt die. Sidious would have taken over as Emperor much sooner. Mauls death just delayed his plans.

WINNER= no winner.

 

In conclusion I like all the sith charecters Lucas has shown us. They are all different in a way. Some people just cant help but root for them:)

I agree, this poll cannot be answered by the actor who played character because then Ray Park as Maul wins Hands down. You have to go by the SW universe and in that universe Vader is the best. Maul kills one Jedi (Qui Gonn) then he gets killed by Obi wan who was still a Padawan at the time, it doesn't matter if Maul was winning the fight all that matters is the result. We all know that Vader is going to kill a lot more than just 1 Jedi in ep3 which makes him the Ultimate Sith.

I agree but its kind of hard to believe that a n00b jedi like Luke would beat Vader like in ROTJ. If Luke could do it Maul would have no problem with him.

Anyway Vader was in fact suppose to be the best/baddest.

I disagree about the poll being unanswerable. This is not a "who is the better fighter" or a "who killed more people" poll. It's a "who is your favorite" poll. Out of those listed, mine is Vader.

I agree the poll is answerable when talking about your favourite sith, my post was concentrated more on who is the best fighter, my bad for not being clearer.
