Ian's a cool name. ;)

Having this name sometimes is a chore. Whenever I introduce myself it's almost like people refuse to believe that my name is "Rhett" and they refer to me as "Brett". I got so sick of people asking if my name was Brett, that I've just started saying yes. :D

I actually started this post with a simple request:

Post a list of your real names in real life. Mine is Dan! Nice to meet you all!

Maybe I should have been clearer.....

Anyhow, Goodbye.

Ahhhh, well I'm sure having the name Ian would be much cooler if I lived somewhere where it was common. Funny story...there is this fast food restaurant in San Diego called Blueberry Hill (originally a Canadian chain, I think) and they have this dish called Gravy Fries, which is basically French Fries smothered in Cheese and Gravy (I plan on dying in a car accident when I'm 29...) and it is one of my favorite things, whenever I come here I go over there to get that.

So when I used to live here (in SD) I went there all the time to get these Fries, and they have the same people there most of the time, and I got like...8 different spellings for the name Ian (they write down your order and your name when you tell them what you want). I even started spelling it out for them but somehow every time they got it wrong...

Anyway, Brett, I feel your pain. :p

My name is Rob. Kinda where I got my forum name from too.

Anyways, Vestril, I have two friends, one that is named like you, Ian, and another who's name is spelled Iain. Both are pronounced exactly the same way. How this relates I have no idea :D but I thought you might like to know. Maybe those restaurant people got your name right once(in a way) and you didn't know. Also, those "Gravy Fries", they're normally called Poutine(pronounced Poo-teen. Just makes you want to eat it up huh?;)) Just in case you wanted to know that as well.
