All right first off if this has been posted b4 just ingore it and kindly tell me so, no need to flame me, becuase havnt got the time any mroe to read the boards as much as id like =( anywho on to my point

The rule of two, this referring to there only being 2 Sith at any one givin time, for those of you who may be confused. I have a problem with, this rule was instated about 10000 years pre episode 1, becuase of all the infighting and such. Well what if you stumbled across some holcrons learend from there but the never mentioned the rule of 2, or what if you just Ignored it flat out? Hmm? I see many ways around this rule, but I understand it probley want work for Galaxies but it my RPG it should work jsut fine, any one see any gapping holes with this? This its great? think im a mad bugger who needs a frontal lobotmy?

First of all, yes this has been addressed before.

Second:

The Sith as we know it today with the 2 Lords Rule, is a cult which has chosen secrecy and steath over public appearance, untill the group is ready to strike back at the Republic and the Jedis.

The rule isn't more than a 1000 years old, but I'm guessing you hit that 0 one time too many by a mistake. :)

It's a rule, created by living things. Rules can be broken. However, the real Sith cult would prolly sense something wrong about the force and come to take out these "imposters". ;)

As for being able to become a Sith Lord ingame, this will not be possible. Being a Dark Jedi, however, will.

Further to Jan's answer, the topic was covered in the:

Sith Thread

Also from a purely RPG point of view it is entirely possible for players to find a Sith holocron from the pre-bane era that will direct them to onderon or somewhere similar where they will locate more Sith artifacts and become proficient with the Sith powers.

As Jan said however, this use of Sith powers will certainly attract the two, who will see the existence of imposter Sith as 1.) an insult, and 2.) a threat to their secrecy.

The two will undoubtably try and exterminate your players - which makes for a fun adventure or two...

Good replies. I would like to add this: having some of the powers of the Sith, and perhaps an artifact or two, doesn't make you a Sith. Sure, a lot of people, even jedi, could mistake you for a Sith. But you would not be a Sith, since you can't learn everything without a proper master, who in turned had a proper master, and so on.

ok...got a question....what powers do the Sith posess that you can not have as a Dark Jedi?

Im not aware of any unless something within the expanded universe has brought it out.

I guess besides having a really, really, really, old guy as a mentor, the Sith arent that different.

Course, the Jedi have Yoda so even that difference is thrown out.

The Sith seem to me to be pretty much a name for an exclusive Dark Jedi club, and nothing more.

After all, isnt Vader just a whiny little brat in a helmet?

yeah but have you ever seen them do anything that a dark jedi cant do?

Now i read the books but I dont get to much into the comics so if it ever happened there, I dont now.

But yeah they have secret artifacts. But does it give them an advantage? Can they do anything different because of it?

Seems to me the only advantage I have ever heard of come from the standard advantages included withh the dark side. Nothing so much as attributed from artifacts or secret knowledge from a dead civilization.

I say the sith are a hoax. They are all full of talk, but when it comes to walking the walk, they sit there with their thumbs up their deathstars.

All this is EU:

Sith powers:

Alchemy - the Sith can imbue a living or inorganic host with powers above and beyond that which are normally possible. For instance humans can be mutated to be faster, stronger with extra arms, teeth and claws. Materials can be made tougher, stronger and made to resist lightsabres.

Sorcery - A sith is able to conjure up dark shades of past Sith Lords for advice and training, as well as for short periods of possesion where the Sith's abilities are enhanced.

Artifacts - Sith Swords channel the dark side into vicious wounds, Sith armour typically has a cortosis component, making it resistant to lightsabres. Other Sith weapons include the Lanvarok, a ranged weapon made vicious with telekinesis powers.

Oh and Kyp's memory rip power was a Sith Specialty, as was the Emperor Reborns Force Storm.

There are advantages to being a Sith, though they are admitedly not shown in the movies.

don't you think that the emperor and vader would have any dark jedi psoing as sith killed by vader himself or a bounty hunter :fett: ???? I have two reasons to support this:

A. If these "Sith" did find any holocrons or other sith artifacts Im sure the emperor would want them. From what I understand from EU is that he had an extensive collection of such things. Therefore he could simply kill these "Sith" and take whatever they had.

B. The emperor would want to have these ''Sith" killed because if they grew powerful enough they could pose a large threat to the Empire. So as soon as he found out about these cults he would have everyone in them killed.
