Yeah it's a nice site. :)

But they have very little info on Aayla Secura. :( They don't even have her in the cast credits. Which is also true of the digital release, it doesn't mention Amy Allen playing Aayla Secura. :( It does however mention Amy Allen as a production assistant which she was for Episode II since she worked at ILM then. :)

Yours is great! Mind if I copy it to keep in on my HD? (I usually rip everything I see with Aalya/Amy in it! :p;) )

The avatar, Aayla on the Twilight issue 1 of 4 cover image in reverse I think? :)

Never said it before but your signature is just awesome, very funny yet kick ass too. :) Isn't that vaguelly based on a quote from a movie? I can't pinpoint it.

Ah, you do indeed know your Aayla. You are of course right about the Avatar. I just did a little playing around, took out the background, reversed it etc as you well know.;)

I've got a few more nice images, you probably have them already but I can email them to you anyway if you want.

I can't remember where I heard my signature but it stuck in my mind! If I remember, I'll let you know.

I think it's in a movie somewhere but for the love of god I can't remember which one. :p

I would make a nice Aayla wallpaper if I could but one of things Windows XP lacks is it doesn't have the Windows ME/2000 Photo Editor properties to copy+paste and create/manipulate an image like that. :( Oh well. I submitted a request for one at DarkHorse.com. :p

Since you seem to be a big Aayla fan too, maybe you can help me with this question. When and in which comic does Aayla give a 'heart of fire' to another small Twi'lek called Xiaan?

I have the picture of the scene in the cartoon but it's not in any of the ones I have. One site mentions it as being in the comic called 'Heart of Fire' but Dark Horse doesn't have any Star Wars comic issue called 'Heart of fire' in teir database?

You can always send me stuff at another_agent_smith@yahoo.com. If you want you can give me your E-mail address and I can send you what I have. :)

I roughly have the standard promo shots (different versions and qualities), the one from Time Magazine online (though it's only a part of the standard promo shot it's large and super good quality, wish they'd release the entire one at that quality sometime). I got everything that was in the 'Aayla Secura: From EU to Episode II' feature on StarWars.com (I have the whole thing. :p) and also lots of Celebration II pics from Amy Allen. And several pictures from scans of the comic books.

I'm not a huge Aayla fan, I haven't got any comics or anything. I just think she looks cool and she is one of the background characters I remember most from AOTC, just a small glimpse intrigued me enough to find out who she was (probably because she is a woman jedi and a twilek). I like playing JKII with her mod and that's about it really.

Sorry to dissapoint! I will send you the few pics I have. ;)

Well to my knowledge Aayla appears in the 'Twilight', 'Darkness', 'The Stark Hyperspace War' and brand new 'Rite of passage' comics form Dark Horse.

(They're 4 comics each title/series that later are bundled into 1 TPB - Trade Paperback- which means in the TPB just the comic, the artwork and no adds.)

'Twilight' is mostly about Aayla's master, Quinlan Vos who has lost his memory and goes in search of who he is and what happened to Aayla. But it's all important to know for Aayla's background (why she'll do the things she does in the later comics)and her relation to Quinlan Vos.

At first there's the fear Aayla might be dead but it's discovered she was also stripped of her memory. (This by means of a drug that Quinlan and Aayla were sent to investigate the origin of in the first place.)

'Darkness' is about Quinlan Vos and Aayla, split even, a very nice story, you get to see lots of Aayla and her character from different angles. The evolution and changes are nice and believable. The artwork in 'Darkness' is superb. In this series she wears the outfit you see Amy Allen wearing as Aayla in Episode II. :)

Quinlan has already regained his memories but the until then disappeared Aayla hasn't and this leads to a very ... explosive confrontation. :) Very good. :) Really awesome ending. :) This is also where Aayla is assigned to Master Tholme who will be her Jedi teacher from now on since the Jedi Council decides both Aayla and Quinlan veered to close to the Dark Side and staying together as padawan/teacher would be too dangerous.

'The Stark Hyperspace War' is about ... the Stark Hyperspace war. (Mhhh? :p) But Aayla's in it -not that much but she's in it- since the Jedi council is telling her the tale about the Star Hyperspace War to have her get all of her memories back.

Of 'Rite of Passage' only 1 issue has been released yet the others will follow in July and August. Here Aayla will become a Jedi Knight and face tough challenges and be forced to save Master Tholme who gets kidnapped. Quinlan Vos also returns in this series, not sure yet if they team up or if their adventures run parallel from each other. :)

I remember where I got my signature from now! It is in "Meet the Parents". When he is on the plane and the stewardess is trying to get his bag from him he says "You can have my bag when you pry it from my cold lifeless fingers". Great film, I especially love the very end.

I heard that was a good movie but I haven't seen it yet. That sounds like it was funny, lol :)

I was able to get my hands on 'Rite of Passage 1' today, the first of the 4 issues of the 'Rite of Passage' series. (The other 3 are yet to be released.) It's just awesome! :)

This first issue focuses very much on Aayla herself and it's once again Jan Duursema who did the drawing. (She originally pencilled Aayla in 'Twilight' and 'Darkness' and though the renderings of Aayla in 'The Stark Hyperspace war' are good you can see it's not Duursema who did the drawing, Aayla looks a bit different.)

Aayla has returned to Ryloth -with Master Tholme on assignment to investigate political unrest- and she is working undercover as a slave girl. You get to see Duursema is more comfortable pencilling Aayla and she looks slightly more like the Episode II Aayla played by Amy Allen. (Duursema met Allen at Celebration II) E.g. Aayla's eyes went to brow like Amy's eyes in Ep II instead of the more silver-grey look they had in 'Darkness.'

What's really awesome though in this issue Aayla's working as a slave girl her outfit is very ... hmmm ... revealing. Remember Leia's metal bikini? Yup!! That's what she's wearing, and since it's a comic, she's filling it rather well. ;):p

-Though I'm sure Amy Allen would fill it quite nicely too. ;)-

But the coolest part is you get flashbacks from when Master Tholme and his then teenager padawan Quinlan Vos first came to Ryloth. The teenage Quinlan meets the infant girl Aayla who's to be -then really- sold as a slave and he is drawn to her. He saves her from a rampaging wampa and notices her Force abilities. Really great stuff! :)

Nice new avatar lexx.

Made from the front/header picture of the starwars.com feature 'Aayla Secura : From EU to Episode II' I presume? :)

I really need to go out and borrow someone's flatbed scanner so I can scan the latest Aayla scenes/illustrations from the comics. Aayla in Rite of Passage 1 mostly! So awesome! :):D

Hey, if you're interested there's an Aayla Secura Yahoo! Group I found. (I didn't found it myself, as in start it it and all, I just 'located' it. :p)

Not many members so far but I'm trying to liven the place up. :) So join if you like. :D They could use some more Aayla fans in there!

I think I'm going to stick to this one for a while, the pencil artwork of Aayla for Rite of Passage. Just beautiful.

It really tempts me so much in ordering a commission from Jan Duursema for my very own Aayla Secura Single Figure artwork. :)

Ah, obsessions! :p

Lexx, your quote also comes from Men in Black. When the Bug first lands on earth, and runs into edgar. The bug says "Throw down your weapon"

well, ultimately I think the quote comes from the chairman of the NRA (national rifle association) Charlton Heston referring to a U.S. law requiring citizens to hand over their rifles.

I remember seeing it on TV some years ago.
