kfretz
I was just thinking and i remembered sumthing weird......all siths and evil characters of star wars have red light sabers and all jedi or good guys have green.....but imperial star fighters and star destroyers have green laser blasters and x-wing fighters have red lasers......shouldnt the imperial star fighters and star destroyers have red lasers to keep the color scheme of red=bad true? iguelmay
wow... i just noticed that now... not that it really matters... this is what matters: "saber goes in, guts come out."
Grets Sirob
Wow, I never thought about that, good eye. I just thought about how in ep 1, the good guys have green and the bad have red. And in ep 4, 5, and 6, the good had red and bad had green. I always thought about that like this: Imperials are the Republic's later years, so green stayed green. Rebels are like Trade Fed, they were both outlaws, therefor, red stayed red. May the force be with you.

Arkum
I've noticed that the first time I wathced the movies. Well, I think it's ok how it is. I don't really focus in on much of the color of stuff, but more into the story and action.

technobot
red + blue = purple... maybe Windu's not the great guy he's cracked up to be? Consider: in that final arena scene in AOTC, all the Jedi have either Blue or Green sabers except for Windu...
Lime-Light
Thats becuase Samuel L. Jackson has the biggest payrole in Episode2, so he gets a say, and he wanted a purple one.
Jedi wannabe
The imps are supposed to use tabbana(sp?) gas in the lasers, this is supposed to make the lasers stronger, I believe this also affects the colour.

Kurgan
So then AOTC went along and screwed it up by adding blue blastershots and a purple lightsaber. ; ) Incidentally, didn't Padme have a green shooting blaster in TPM, while most of her guards had red? Lunatic Jedi
I had something of a theory regarding that. I believe that the colors are the reason that Jedi and Sith sabers oppose each other. The colors of the Dark Side (red, usually) are on near-opposite ends of the visible spectrum from the Light Side (green, blue). I believe it the the contrast in the colors that make the sabers oppose each other, and the beams don't mix and allow them to pass through one another. Just something I thought up when I was bored. Ben_Walker
Heres what I got. The Sith didn't want the same lightsaber colours as the Jedi so when Darth Bane declaired that there can be only two Sith, he also declaired they can only have red lightsabers. The Jedi liked green and blue the best. The Republic's laser were green, when Palpatine became empire, resigned both the Republic's and the Sepertists into one big army. He controlled both the republic as the supreme channcellor and the sepertists with Dooku as his servant. He made one big army which had green lasers. I think the Rebels were old Reublican's who liked the the Republic's past better and became out laws to the Imperial's. They had to use rag tag ships which had red laser fire. JandoFett1842
Well when luke's Jedi Acadamy was opened it didnt matter what color of saber u had, and Adi Galia (Jedi Council Member) had a Red Saber!
WolfmanNCSU
Yeah I noticed in the first episodes (4-6) that the sith had red sabers and the jedi master had green and the jedi knight had blue. Then the Empire army shot green lasers and rebels shot red. It was the same in episode one but then all changed in episode two. Oh well.
