Darth Eggplant
Stupid Windows sound recorder, it only records 60 seconds worth of anything. I want to record some taped music unto my computer, but I do not have any programs to do this; anyone have an idea for me? It has to have three things (a)be easy to use & install. (b)preferably make different sound formats, ie midi, mp3, wav *if it could convert even better* © it has to be free. NOT because I am cheap but I am on a very fixed income. if anyone out there in form land can help, Muchos Nachos!
GendoTheGreat
Try to find a program called Goldwave. It's an excellent program, and the trial version is free to download and it's fully functional. The version I have is very old, so it doesn't support MP3's or anything like that, but if it's still being produced the latest version is bound to be pretty cool. As far as recording goes, there are a ton of free programs that will do the job. Just run a search.

GendoTheGreat
I just downloaded the latest version myself, it is indeed very cool. You might be better off going here to get it, that page has the files you need to convert .wav's to MP3 with Goldwave.
