Sivy Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 I think Qui-Gonn could of joined Dooku. Qui-Gonn was Dooku’s padawan and in the Jedi order that’s the closest thing they have to a father figure (remember that Obi-Wan didn’t think is was a good idea to train Anakin and knew him to be dangerous, but because it was Qui-Gonn dying wish, he did). It’s clear that Dooku’s political views had rubbed off on Qui-Gonn, that is why he didn’t always go along with the Council’s wishes. Plus the dark side is very persuasive and can cloud judgement. Qui-Gonn way of keeping his mind focus on the living force instead of looking to the future would of made it dangerous if he was ever faced with that decision.
Sivy Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 Another point would be, if Anakin wasn't trained and there was no vader, would palpatine be able to become the emperor? Without Vader there wouldn't of been a jedi purge.
teutonicknight Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 I do not think that Qui Gon would have joined Dooku becasue he was really strong i the force. He had his own idea, but he was not reckless like ANakin, who turned to the darkside....
