EP1 screwups

Weapon X

Recommended Posts

i noticed in episode 1 the following messups:

1. in the beginning when obi and qui light up you can hear 3 saber ignition sounds instead of just 2 (listen closely)

2. when maul first attacks instead of hitting qui's saber he actually hits him on the hand/handle (pause at the first strike and you'll see)

3. everyone knows about the cord by queen when she's lookin out the window

4. what people might take as a messup, when the control ship is blown up it starts falling down towards the bottom of the screen (there is no up and down in space i thought) but in my opinion it was naboo's gravity pulling it to the planet

5. when maul is cut in half there is a red mist at the bottom of the screen, but we see in every other sw movie that a saber immediatly cauterizes the wound after being struck, so in all actuality there should've been no mist/blood

6. there is a pineapple grenade by padme's head in the skywalker homestead, you can see the outline in the window glare on a close-up of padme hanging by the pin

i know there are others that aren't real big, but i can't think right now so if you think of some, post them!

i forgot all about that bloody arm in ANH, hmm, looks like a continuity error to me, or maybe the intensity level on the saber

That was a mistake that has never been corected.

I read that somewere in an interview with a guy from the ILM team from the OT.

1. when obi and qui r in between maul in that reactor place, obi hits mauls saber attack downward hitting the floor but no damage 2 the floor.

2. when obi cuts mauls saber in half, the 1 he doesn't use falls 2 his right on the floor, when we c farther shots, no saber on floor

3. (slo-mo) when maul gets up, he almost holds the actual blade with his hand, but stops himself.

4. (slo-mo) all of mauls kicks r a mile off

5. if u got kicked in the face, wouldn't u have a bloody or broken nose.

6. when maul is cut in half and falls down the shaft, y doesn't the lower part of his tunic fall off.

7. the grand daddy of them all, be4 obi jumps over maul and delivers the final blow, mauls saber is in his right hand. when obi jumps over him, it's in his left.

LOL irishman some of those are pretty funny.:p

Minor screwups though.

The fact of the matter is that every movie has little mistakes like that. BUT-People dont tend to look at other movies as closely as us fans watch a Star Wars flick. I mean most of us watch the movies frame by frame to see if we catch any easter eggs or any other interesting stuff.

Long live the little errors:D

They had something on this I belive in a Jedi Council question. Antilles is the star wars equavalent to the American Smith, it is a very common last name. If you notice, C-3P0 in ANH says "our last Master was captain Antilles." Captain Antilles was the captain that Vader strangled and threw up against the wall in the beginning. SO Wedge Antilles has no relation to either of these 2 characters.

Oh, that movie mistakes iste says soemthing about ANH and how when han ask for help pretending they are the imp technicians, there are blaster shots but when luke and han show up in the suits, there are no blast marks. Who is to say Han and Luke did'nt seek attack them and put them in a head lock from behind and in suprise the 2 troopers fired their weapons randomly?

In Episode II (I know this is an Episode I thread, but hey) Yoda has no shadow (the Bear Clan scene).

Look closely: when Anakin cuts the power cable in the Geonosian hanger (plunging the room into darkness) his lightsaber blade is miles away from the actual cable. The shower of sparks partially hides it, but it is there.

In the Arena battle, watch the Jedi who Jango shoots (can't remember the name). She ignites a green lightsaber, then is killed wielding a blue one.

When the close-ups of the captured Jedi are shown in the Arena battle scene (just before Dooku askes Mace to surrender) you can't hear the hum of the lightsabers, even though they are being waved around and moved close to the camera. It is silent.

Still, great film.
