Definitely Yoda vs. Darth Sidious, because Palpatine has been one of my favourite SW characters ever since ROJ. Vader vs. Mace Windu is a close second.

Lucas himself said it in an iterview. He said that in ep.3 the Obi-Wan vs. Anakin duel will be one of the best in the SW saga.

So those two guys are going to cross sabers, definitely. Like MotionMan said, Lucas has assured everyone that it will be an epic battle unlike any other duel seen in any of the films.

 

I wonder if Anakin's saber will be red when he faces Obi-Wan? Trivial question I know, but. . .

Anakin uses Count Dooku's lightsaber against Obi-Wan Kenobi after the Jedi-gone-bad kills Dooku and nicks his Rapier weapon.

 

I'm waiting for Darth Sidious versus Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Naboo hanger. It promises to be amazing!

 

I just want Scaramanga to shoot Mace Windu (just to prove who the best in the galaxy really is).

Definitely Darth Sidious vs. Yoda: Clash of the Titans.

 

You all saw how Yoda went from zero to hero in a 30-second fight scene in AOTC, well I want to see Sidious become everyone's favorite character when he rips Yoda's green little @$$ to shreds all the way back to Dagobah. Woot!

I agree with ShadowAngel. Everybody now is Yodafan since EPII, but just after that 30-second fight. Remember when Yoda say on Episode V that "The emperor is strong"? Well, I hope that we sad that coz he fought the emperor once. And Yoda, in the OT, is just isolated in Dagobah...but my real opinion is that the Dooku fight in the last we are gonna see, talking bout Yoda.

Now that I think of it, my vote shouldn't have been Sidious vs. Yoda, because the loser of that fight would lose A LOT of credibility. I think Sidious should fight Mace Windu.

Yeah Legacy, that's why I think that Lucas won't put Yoda in a fight again, even because the fight of him against Dooku in EPII has to have an increased importance,as being the only one that the ultimate Jedi master Yoda fights. I created the poll and voted for Darth Maul Clone against Obi-Wan. Let's just remember the Episode I fight: the awsome double-bladed saber that Darth Maul had, against two Jedis...and the master died...I would not say just master, but THE most powerful Jedi using the living force philosophy...and Obi-Wan almost died. A rematch would be veeery cool...

Ever since this rumor came up I've been trying to talk some sense into people... but they don't friggin listen! Padmé must survive Episode III because Leia consciously remembers her. She remembers little, but she says that she dies (possibly of a broken heart? Hey it happens in real life), NOT that she was murdered!

ah, but you don't know if Luke and Leia are already born in episode 3. They could be 3 years old, and anakin doesn't even know because he's been off fighting in the clone wars. It's possible. And i am Pretty sure that Leia says her mother died when she was very young....so we MIGHT see her die.

 

I would be appalled to see the return of a Darth Maul Clone. ONE, there can only be two sith at any time, so this maul clone couldn't have been trained during the time that real maul was being trained or when Dooku was under sideous, leaving this clone with very little time to learn how to be a tough sith. Secondly, why would the darth maul clone care if Obi-Wan killed the first darth maul? The Darth Maul clone is a different person.

I voted for the Obi-Wan vs Anakin battle because if it goes through (I know Lucas said it would but you never know. ) it will be epic, for its meaning. Perhaps not only spectacular but full of emotion, like the OT duels.

 

I'm not sure if Sidious will fight? Yoda might have refered to the Emperor (Palpatine/Sidious) as being strong because he manipluated and set everything and everyone up from day one. It all went according to his plans. And none of the 9000 Jedi saw it coming.

Not many people know or remember that Luke and Leia are twins. They were born at the same time, so Leia couldn't remeber her mother, for example, "coz she was older than luke and she could remember". We have to get all the information from Episode IV and work with it. I think that Obi-Wan has brought Luke to Tatooine, to watch the chosen one's son carefully until the time that Obi-Wan thought that Luke should face Vader, or leave Tatooine to have his father's same fate. Leia was left, probably to follow the same destiny as his mother: being a politician (And she was, as you know, a brave rebel leader).

Do you remember when Ben Kenobi say "I wasn't called Obi-Wan since before you(luke) were born". Well, that means Obi-Wan's escaped to Tatooine BEFORE Luke was born? How Padmé will die in the third Episode? He won't see her death? We have to work will all this facts, and put them in an order. So, here's what we know:

 

1.Obi and Anakin will face each other, and Anakin will be wounded, becoming Darth Vader

2.Padmé will have Luke and Leia. Leia will remember (a little) her mother, but Luke won't.

3.Dooku and Windu will die.

4.Yoda will escape (Well, I fought that Yoda would fight the sith until death! Escape? Is it Yoda's style?)

5.Obi-Wan will escape with Luke, and how can he be with Lars if Obi-Wan didn't ever met Lars before?

6.Padmé will die, the Rebel Alliance will be created to oppose the empire.

 

So, what we will see in the next Episode? How can those things possibly make sense? Make your bets.

I have, do, and always will love Yoda. Even before episode 1 he was my very favorite character, and now i love him all the more. Think about it. in ESB, he is behaving like a complete buffoon around luke and he doens't even care. Then when he gets the lantern and R2 tries to take it, he starts yelling and hitting R2 with a stick! He could have force blasted R2 halfway across the planet, but he's hitting him with a stick like he has no idea what a droid is.......Yoda is the man! And i would LOVE to see him whoop up on palpatine!

According to Portman, her character will be pregnant during the time of Episode III. Of course, that doesn't mean that things can't change...

Ok, I'm not sure if anyone realizes this but, it never has to show Padme dying. She is in the Senate and at the start of ANH the senate is destroyed, she might have been in there still. I think Anakin will face Dooku and kill him, thus taking over his position as apprentice. Just a couple of thoughts.

Thus Leia KNOWS that her mother died when she was very young. So she wasn't alive during ANH, unless somehow they trick leia into thinking she died.

 

And the senate wasn't destroyed at the beginning of ANH. It was disbanded.
