seta sex, the forgoten variable

While skimming through the JK2mp.cfg,i came across a variable that perplexed me.

 

Seta sex "male"

 

At first i thought it was a way of iding players "soandso has fell to his/her death" But after messing around with it i found that is determined my the player model,not this variable.

 

I really can't find any use for this variable, anyone got a clue?

I saw this variable too, but have no clue on what it does.

I think its a leftover from Elite Force where you could play as Alexander or Alexandria Munro.

It was a standard command from the inital release of quake. It does not do anything here.
