SS_Sniper
K guys dont call him easy if you have only fought him on Padawan or Jedi diffuculty. Or just used the pillars instead of the light saber
Ratmjedi
I didn't even use the Pillar or the beam in the middle. I always used speed and saber and that's it. I didn't discover the other way's until I came here. But he was still easy. Tavion was just a *itch the whole time nomatter what.
masmas
O.K. Dasass was easily defeated, I really did expect more. I didn’t know about the pillars, but I did get a blast from the center ray and then went at him with a lot of jumps and the Red stance. It really didn’t take me long and was rather disappointing. And true the force speed was not to helpful. Questions though, dose the center ray in the final chamber do anything to you or was that just for show? And second what is the point of the green gems? Through out you can pick them up but they aren’t good for anything, nor do they seem to count for anything. It would seem that if we can collect them, we should be able to use them for something. Tavon was harder and Galak was just a bitch, but I found just getting through all the reborn and amour jeti in the academy , alive, was perhaps the hardest part of the game. Arceri
Dasass.. heh. Ok for all you that think Desann is super duper easy. Stop playing Padawan please. Try Jedi Master, then come back and say that. I think the game did a really good job at boss encounters. Sure in the easier difficulties, it is... easier? Wonder why... maybe because.. IT'S ON EASY! I mean hell if you're looking for a challenge, at least raise the difficulty. Anyway. I think Desann pretty much was harder than everyone else, IF you played it straight and on the right difficulty. Personally, I never once used speed in a fight in SP, definately not against a boss. I always thought speed was for the meak, how hard is it to kill an enemy in slow motion from 400% slow down? Not very. Try fighting him without speed, I bet it'll be a touch harder. And yes in Jedi Knight and Jedi Master, Desann and other higher Dark Jedi (including Shadow troopers) will Speed to match you, so then it's useless. As for the pillar thing. That's not really a way to win either. Try straight out sabering and force powers, on a decent difficulty. And see how easy he is. Personally my favorite encounters in the game were: 1) First encounter with Desann on the Artus mine level. First time I played this, I actually thought I was supposed to beat him with my little E-11 Blaster Rifle. I kept running away going "Oh ****, oh ****!" Just kept unloading on him then he yanked it out of my hand and threw my ass all over the place. 2) First encounter with a Reborn in the Bespin air shafts. Nothing more I can say about this other than it was cool. "I sense a disturance in the force.. but it's... strange." "You will die!" "Jedi!" 3) First encounter with Tavion. She kicked my ass first time I fought her.. and several times after that.... 4) The entire Jedi Academy level. Just too cool fighting all those Dark Jedi along side Jedi Knights. 5) Final fight with Desann for the first time. 6) "Worlds will tremble, Solar Systems will...." "Your shields will fall.." "Aarrrrrghhhh!!"
K_Kinnison
i never could beat dessan.. of course i got rather bored with the game after the Nar shadda level and went MP it was funny running around trying to pick up your pulled weapons. I knew something was wrong when i cheated and couldn't kill him with 5 det packs underneath his feet. Too me a while to figureout he was invincible
