General_Veers
Ok, let's get one thing straight: THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. It seems to me that the voice acting for GB and indeed CC is sub-standard. I mean, I can understand that voice actors had to be used for the campaigns and the EU characters, but surely it would have been quicker and cheaper to simply take phrases from the films for the main characters. One particularly sickening example is Obi-Wan from episode II in CC. In the game he speaks with a distinctly Scottish accent, obviously because Ewan McGregor does so in real life, but the character of Oi-Wan does not. This is just my opinion, and I would appreciate feedback as to what you all think... ALL HAIL MURRAY AND HIS EVIL DEMONIC PLANS TO CONQUER THE WORLD!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! CorranSec
Yes! You're completely right! The voice acting for the movie characters is... well.... pathetic. GB was pretty bad. Obi-Wan (padawan type) sounded like a Scot/Irish with a blocked nose, Qui-Gon sounded... Zen-like, and even though he was zen-like in the movie, his voice was way different. And so on- i won't even begin to pay out Vader, Luke, Han, Leia..... CC, though, well, that just clinches it. The phrases the characters use- eg. Obi-wan's "you haven't learned anything" on selection- are out of the movie! So why not record the real actors, and then put it on! This area is one of the few that really, utterly lets GB down. Oh, and btw, I hail murray too! "Come on, we can conquer the world! Together! how dare you take a fluffy toy over ME!" even though the pic you put up looks like it's from Grim Fandango.... W0RF
3PO and Vader are forgiveable, as they got an approximation, and dressed it up with digital sound effects so that it at least sounds like a droid and Captain Asthma, respectively. The Luke clone is the same pretty-good guy they've been using for a while, but why is it Mark Hammill can do cartoons and Wing Commander but can't do voiceovers for LA games? Bottom line, the only one that sounds like their counterpart is Lando. Leia's voice is probably the first female on staff they could drag into the sound booth, and Han reminds me of my old Rogue Squadron days, where Han and General Riekkan and the missions briefings were all the same voice actor and all sounded like the same guy, who incidentally didn't sound like any of the characters in question. The real kicker is... Ep1 Racer. They got Jake Lloyd and the other characters to do the voices of the racers. Now that I'm spoiled on movie-voices, they come back to this?!? booooo..... jcb231
Keep in mind that Jake Lloyd is like 10 years old and they probably just promised him a free copy of the game or something...everyone else demands REAL money.

General_Veers
I like the voice acting You are a complete madman. Yes, I appreciate the fact that it's there but it could have been much better. Seems to me you need to be taught a Stevo lesson... It's Croc savin' time!

I found Qui-Gon to be tolerable and Chewie amazingly lifelike...;-) BTW Jake Llyod also does Anakin in SW:GB. Unfortunately it seems his balls have dropped since they shot the film and his voice is a bit deeper. Cheers,
CorranSec
er. To me, Lando was pretty good. Qui-Gon sounded like a bum off the street. I pointed this out to my friend and he responded with showing that that's exactly what Qui-Gon is. His voice is still bad though. Jake Lloyd!? Anakin!? It sounds a whole lot different to the Anakin in the film. You're right, I think his balls have dropped... and the lines themselves were very corny and didn't sound anakin-ish. I've been playing around with voices, and i think Veers' is pretty good, but Leia is just pathetic. Sounds nothing like her. As an Australian, I should feel compelled to defend Stevo's honour..... But I won't, cos he's funny. Funny to laugh at. "And here we have an amazingly deadly species of snake. But I'm not afraid! Oh crikey, he bit me! But that's OK, cos I'm Steve and I'll never die!" I think he should suffer a horrific injury at some stage. It's never happened and it'd be a nice change. And they should move him to a different time slot. I don't like when it's on. But that won't make sense to you, as I'd guess you don't live here.
pbguy1211
It's odd that they can take a million pictures for promotional/game purposes... but they can't use the quotes from the movies in the game. Has anyone ever attempted to take the time and effort to dub the real soundbites from the movies over into mp3 format and just replace them in the game? It might take forever... then again some people have too much free time anyway... or it could just be illegal and then if it is we'll just forget I brought it up
Sithmaster_821
Lando sounded like he belonged in the mafia, and leia was horrid. Han well he...shudders. All the others seem ok, except the ep 2 anakin, who is also bad.
