I'm sure most of you ppl have seen the making of TPM???? Well, if you remember, the stunt guy and Ewan were talking about the color of Luke's saber in the OT and said the actual color was lilac....just for info:)

It does look pretty white though doesn't it? I've never really noticed it before....

That's just what Nick Gillard and Ewan MacGregor say. They could be wrong.....

I just thought they would be a good source for that info considering they have a "little" involvement in the movie.:D Hey, what the hell though, right???

Is Luke's saber in ep. IV white? Some shots yes, others no.....there's no argument against the earlier picture in this thread. We know what color it should have been....;)

I hope that Lucas does do the OT right for the DVD release (even if it means adding a few gungans...)

You guys just hate the gungans because they aren't human.....not because they're incredibly annoying! ;):p

:rolleyes: I'm just glad we really don't have to explain this one anymore.:p

MotionMan is exactly right...

:clap2::cheers::guiness:

I hope Lucas will make an extra feature on dvd in which you can watch the trilogy the unaltered way (aside from being visually restored), or the special edition style with all the added visuals and stuff. :cool:

That would be a pretty neat feature:) However, I think that having options like that might increase the cost of the movies:( Ep. II is going to be expensive enough......doesn't it retail around $25 to $30?? If it wasn't Star Wars, I personally wouldn't be paying that much for a DVD.

You guys are crazy...;) No DVD is worth paying that much....congrats on the 1000 posts:D

Canon is this...another way of asking "are white lightsabers canon?" is asking if "white lightsabers are real in the star wars universe?"

In the EU (Expanded Universe) white, yellow, orange, and even black lightsabers are part of Star Wars.

Canon has to do with what is in the movies....canon is also know as truth or fact. The only way to know what is canon and what isn't is to watch the movies ;) For example the only lightsaber colors a jedi can have is blue, green, and now purple.

It's a little confusing, but you'll figure it out....

Check out MotionMan's signature sometime, that willget you going in the right direction :D
