Not Jabba, ...but a Hutt

I'm thinking maybe the Hutt's green skin could be a little darker shade of green.

Also, I noticed your model has five fingers (Hutt's should only have four). ;) And the hands themselves are a little too thin for a Hutt. They could maybe use some fattening up.

Oh yeah, when do you think you will be able to incorporate the custom sounds?

Keep up the good work!

Duncan, even though it is a photoskin, it still looks really good in game. The hutt makes for a mean Dark Jedi.

Any chance deetox or you could post that sound package? I desperately want Hutt sounds for this :)

When i fixed most of the bugs i will upload a new version of the Hutt model. you can replace the old one with it. it will have Hutt sounds. Its gone be this week i think.

I have taken the hands from the original models, so i probably wont change them. so this Hutt is a ten finger one.

The new versions are up.

All bug about the Hutt that were posted here were fix, at least i hope so. i added the sounds from Deetox, realy good ones.

I also added some new soundfiles to the Gamorrean Guard and fix some bugs.

I downloaded Jabba the Hut version 1.0 and put it in my base directory after unzipping it. It does not show up in my player model list.

I was using Jabba version 0.9 and it worked ok. Did something change with your revision that causes it not to show up in player list?

Thanks.

Great job Duncan! The updates are awesome!

Thank you for making such cool additions to an already cool game. I now find myself getting tired of playing as a human. That's when it's time to switch to a Hutt!

The updated Hutt's tail looks even better than before and the sounds that Deetox187 pulled together are very good as well.

Now, does anyone out there know how to make a vibroaxe for the Gamorrean model??? I thank I've seen over at massassi.net some kind of mod that changes the saber in to swords and double bladed battle axes.

sweet you sure did fix all the bugs with the Hutt, i can't notice any problems now. I see you even reduced the clipping of the tail, he looks a lot better when jumping. :)

all it needs now is some more skins, i'm kinda suprised nobody has volunteered for that yet. Anyways good work Duncan!

ive been considering working on a durga the hutt skin, but can never figure out how to do the flesh right.

You are right though deetox, this model could use some more skins :)

It would be realy fun have a vibro axe instad of that electro thing. and i am very curios about new skins, will see if there are people interessted. skinning isnt something i am good in, so there is lot of posibileties.

Every time i play the hutt, i hear better, how Deetox made these fantastic sound files. once again, Thanks Deetox.

No problem at all, i'm pleased you like them so much. I wasn't gifted with any artistic talent so doing sounds is really all i'm good at, i'm just happy theres a way for me to contribute. :)

hey duncan nice job man!

I haven't been in here for ages, but I went and jumped on jkii.net and downloaded some models. I just realised your the author behind The Hutt. he looks excellent. And I just downloaded the Gamorrean 2.0 but haven't checked it out yet. I realised recently that the sounds we used are of the Hoth monster from ESB. (mental block: WTF R they called?)

Maybe I should rip some sounds of the gamorreans from somewhere.

Anyway I'm glad you kept making models, hopefully you'll do some more cool SW models. keep up the good work.!

Thanks aL BeasTie,

You have been away for a while, realy.

to the Gamorrean Model you gave me some sounds i added some new one. Deetox helped me to make him more piglike.

There was also a bit of confusion of different versions of the Hutt model. somebody sent in the beta version into some known downloadsites. but i made it clear, it should be corrected now. If somebody knows a place where you still can download the version hutt09.pk3 tell me.

I really like this model:)

Well he's too skinny but still a great model

I also like the gamorrean model but it's not as good as the hutt:dsaber: :koon:

I have sent the Gamorrean model to jk2files.com alredy last tuesday, but they dident upload it yet. perhaps i will try it again if they havent done it by tomorrow.

I have also sent some mails to jedicenter.com but they dident react on that. If somebody has a relayeble connetion to them, let me know.

And still nobody hows interessted in making a skin for the Hutt. come on, isnt there anyone?

Yeah i just can't believe nobody wants to skin this model, i guess most of the skinners are busy with current projects, either that or they haven't noticed your request. Maybe its time for a more direct approach, try sending a PM to some of the skinners around here and ask them personally, i don't think they would bite your head off. :)

You could also post a thread in the skinning forum, i know you already asked in the request thread but it isn't doing any good. Other modelers have made posts asking people to skin their models so theres no reason why you can't too.

The idea was to have more skins for the hutt, so it represents more of the diffrences of his race. it would be fun playing once hutts with scars or tatoos or just other colored skins.

And i am intimidated of the skinners here around, if they bite my head off, its over. i got only one, you know.

About the photo textures you mean? So what. I personally think they look better if done well, and yours is well done. But for what your looking for, you might want to ask Arco. He likes to do stuff like that. You can find him in the Kit Fisto thread.
