-Chrono_MOT- Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 How do I do this? I can't seem to figure this out for the life of me. Please help ^_^.
monsoontide Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 There's a funky shader in the Bespin texture set - its a vertical ribbed pipe shader that's very slippery - I used it accidentally on one of my early test maps and my characters were sliding all over the show like an ice-skating rink! Use judiciously 'cos if used wrong (Like in my test map) can be really annoying! Monsoontide
idontlikegeorge Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 also a yavin dirt texture has the slick tag on it heheh.... dunno why
-Chrono_MOT- Posted August 15, 2002 Author Posted August 15, 2002 so it's all in the texture then, or I would have to apply it myself using the system->slick?
idontlikegeorge Posted August 16, 2002 Posted August 16, 2002 well, the system/slick texture is like clip, you put it just over the surface - it wont appear in game, but itll be slick when the player touches it im assuming all this tho, ive never actually used it

idontlikegeorge Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 thats what im thinking.... or else youd have to edit the shader of the surface texture and give it the slick parameter; or find a texture with thhe slick param that fits your needs yeah it probably is one for underwater or something.... didnt think of that - although it doesnt really look it, its like a hard dry dirt texture
