Obi_Non_Kosher
I noticed that on the lucasarts site, it gave a list of compatible video cards. Included in the list was geforce 256, ii, and three, but not 4. Is geforce 4 supported? Or should I settle for a geforce 3. I'm out to buy a new video card. I would like to know what people think of the reactions their video cards have had. How good are the graphics? (besides stunning.) Thx.
Throno-Denkai
GF4MX is the best card ever. Screw the other ones.
Old_Ben
If your gonna get a GF4 get a Ti. You'll get the best FPS for JKII with that. The MX's aren't any better than a high end GF3 which you can get for less money.
Nebelwerfer_
I just bought one, best graphics ever, you can really see the difference, go buy one for only 100 dollars

Obi_Non_Kosher
Well i knew to get a Ti--the mx is for CAD users and graphics designers.... But so long as we all agree on Geforce 4, I'll go ahead and get it.
Throno-Denkai
sorry but GF4 is the best. GF3 is just for games.

Clem
no darky ... no good get GF3 Ti(whatever) seems to be general idea
Throno-Denkai
If you want it just for games. Buy the one that Clem talks about but if you want all the crap (DVD, Games, VCD, PIC Quality, Screen etc...) get GF4 MX. GF3 TI would only turn your computer into PS2. I would prefer to use GF4 MX because it is cheaper and good with many functions. (It would also help if you are a mod maker)
Jah Warrior
GF4 is good, I'm very happy with my Ti4400 you can easily run the game at 1280x1024 full detail and not get any frame rate reduction. the only thing to bare in mind is this, Dont worry about getting a name brand card, underneath they are identical and you will be paying for th ebrand only. The only real hardware difference is the fan but I wouldnt worry too much abourt that...

The MX version is developed from the Geforce 2 family - Geforce 2 Ultra I believe, rather than an upgrade of the 3 series, was released BEFORE the proper GF4 lineup. Obi_Non_Kosher
Soundblaster is pretty much a standard for me. I have Live! Value I have NEVER had a sound problem. And I've done a lot of weird crap to my firmware.... --- As for graphics, I have a ten year old Graphics Blaster Exxtreme PCI 4mb card. (sniff sniff) The card has been hosed since day one. I regularly have to use their rescue center to keep 16 bit color whilst being able to see the screen. --- As you can see, I am ready for an upgrade. --- When I do get my Geforce, it will either be an MSI or ATI. ---
