Tyler_Durden
I've been wanting to do a saber mod but i have no skills and have no idea on how to rip sounds to make it happen. What do i need to do in order to make this ambition a reality?
Darth_Linux
where do you plan on ripping them from? an external source or something already on your hard drive?
Tyler_Durden
from an external source most likely. I can't seem to find a site with star wars sounds that have what i;m looking for.
Darth_Linux
you just want to hook up the external sound source to your sound card then using the appropriate cabling (rca to 1/8th or whatever . .) Then use a sound recording app (like Cool Edit) to record from the input on the sound card to a wav file. Edit as desired, compress as necessary and distribute.
