Admiral Odin Posted September 2, 2002 Share Posted September 2, 2002 The Empire's ships are nice, but cheap and expendable. They lacked shields, and are easily destroyed. The Tie Defender shows a break from old idea of mass cheap expendable fighters. Their ships are ok, but very fragile and destroyed quickly, outside the Tie Defender. I like the rebel craft much more. Tie Guy Posted September 2, 2002 Share Posted September 2, 2002 The TIE Defender is the best fighter ever made bar none, even newer, NJO, models IMO. But thats only because it was built to be like an alliance fighter, with shields and hyperdrive and such. The only problem was its very expensive cost, over 300000 credits a piece.
