Blaster
After compiling my map it seems that GtkRadiant and JK2Radiant are not processing my map to create a BSP file. I haven't changed any settings and my map was compiling properly before. Anyone had this problem before who can help?
acdcfanbill
make sure you let it run completely, dont close the cmd window that pops up. also, you editor may be set to quit compiling if a leak is dected...
Blaster
I never close the window until it's finished and there are no leaks in the level what so ever.
NakTawii
Sorry but your problem means only one thing: the level you have created is curropted, i had thaat problem 2, i make the level for like 1 and a half hour and when i bsp i wait and then its finished and when i write devmap themap its says cannot find yourmap.bsp so..your map is curropted you need to make a new one. not a new from the old to create a new .map (rename the .map wont help) ....sorry:bdroid2:
Karshaddii
I don't know about that.... Go to C:\Documents and Settings\(yourdocuments)\Local Settings\Temp and open "junk.txt." Then scroll through it and see if it says WARNING If so--copy and past the error message into a post so I can see what problem your having. Some little thing in your map probably just needs a little adjustment--and that error message will tell me what it is. = )
Blaster
I've found out what it was. It was wierd. If I built a brush in a certain area of the map it would just refuse to bsp the map file. So I've built around it and now everything seems to be fine. Karshaddii
You probably have too many brushes all on one plane (pillars, colums, ect. are the usual bandits)

Karshaddii
I can't and I dont think anyone can help you unless you past the junk.txt message into a reply so we (I) can look at it.
teutonicknight
My .junk file is completly emty. How much is "too much?" Like 10 brushs? Here is a screenie of what I think the problem is. Its a book case from my map: http://teutonicknight.freeservers.com/Yavinhouse_shelf.jpg Is that too many brushes?
Karshaddii
Your junk.text shouldn't be completely empty. Could you send the .map file to me so I could compile it and take a look? my e-mail is kastraelie@clearsource.net And woe to any onlooker who dares to sign me up for any junk mail. I will hunt you down and destroy you!
