ckcsaber
Im a fan of the Zelda series but I just read an article on the new gamecube zelda (thats supposed to be coming out in the near future) and broke out laughing. Just read the underlined part of the article. Release date set for The Legend of Zelda Nintendo of Japan reveals official release date for Link's latest adventure. Nintendo of Japan has updated its official site with a release date for the Japanese version of The Legend of Zelda, which is currently scheduled for December 13. The Legend of Zelda once again puts players in the role of Link, who's on a quest to rescue his kidnapped sister from the clutches of a giant bird . The game features a distinct cel-shaded look but retains most of the gameplay mechanics featured in the Nintendo 64 Zelda games. The North American version of The Legend of Zelda is scheduled for release sometime in early 2003.

acdcfanbill
well, im not a fan of the new Cel-da look, but im pretty sure that the game will rule, because it is A)Zelda and B) refer to reason A although, whats this about his sister? should you be rescuing Zelda, like aways? ckcsaber
I have no idea. Id rather if they had just stuck to their original idea on graphics where it was a more detailed and smoothed out version of the N64 games. Don't get me wrong though. I love Zelda so thats why Im gonna but it, but all this news on it makes me wonder if it will live up to the Zelda series
Pvt_Dancer
Yeah i don't know about the cell shaded look either... it would be one thing if it was cell shaded but still had the same artisitc style but this is a whole new link concept. I liked the old 64 art. Thought they were really developing a good style. However, it is Zelda and I don't like to draw conclusion before trying anything out. gorganfloss
The origional one is so hard that I cant get past the 6th dungeon...god I suck at that game. Wasnt there a quest thing having to do with a monkey in the SNES version?
ckcsaber
I think so but there was also a quest with a monkey in the gameboy version. You gave him a stick so his monkey friends would build you a bridge or something like that
gorganfloss
I think in the SNES you have to get it bananas or chase it around in trees, I dont remember which.

ckcsaber
Some like Jet Set Radio actually look nice with the cell shaded graphics, but the way they are making this Zelda it looks more and more like a kiddy cartoon game
