The first time I played DOTT I remember a line at the end of the game which went something like:

 

"Well I've sure learnt a lot! If I was doing a school paper on history I'd sure put in all the stuff I've learnt. I bet I'd get an A"

 

"And that A might just get you into college"

 

etc etc

 

Really funny, but last time I played it (on CD) it wasn't there.

 

Did I imagine it?? I'm talking about the old floppy version here. Anyone else remember it, cos it definitely wasn't there on my CD talkie version!

I don't remember that line in DOTT, but there's a very similar line in Curse of Monkey Island. When you're discussing the hand lotion with Haggis, Guybrush says something like "If I was writing a history report on pirates and I put that that in, I'd get an A+, guaranteed. And that A+ might just get you into the college of your choice. Think about it."

 

Could that be what you're thinking of?
