Can anyone help me please?

I have a major problem. In my household, there are 2 computers, mine and my dads. Currently there is a wireless LAN connection between our computers. My dad has a cable modem. My computer can access the internet fine and get emails fine through my dads computer but my dads firewall (Norton internet security 2001) will not permit me to play games online. He is not willing to turn it off because of security reasons. We tested it while it was off and it worked fine. Is there any other way to solve this without turning off internet security.

p.s. I also have norton internet security 2003 but i don't mind turning it off.

Please tell me someone out there is smart enough to help me!

So wait...

you have a cable modem that runs into your dad's comp and then from your dad's comp to a wireless LAN which runs to yours?

And these are software firewalls, not hardware, correct?

I think what he means is that he has a Cable Modem and a wireless router, which would send the signal to the USB/PCI wireless adapter. If that's the case, you would need to go into the Wireless Router's BIOS and do what j00r said and open the ports that jedi outcast use, which is usually 28060-28099.

Unfortunately, I can't really help with getting into a wireless router without further knowledge.
