wedge2211
There is one brush in my map that, when I compile and look at it in-game, produces a HOM effect on a portion of its surface. If I look at the brush at such an angle that I would see the caulk void-facing surface of another room if the HOM brush wasn't there, then I se into that room. Basically, the game acts as though I have a leak there. Problem is, that brush exists in game, it is textured, and I can't find any holes or anything, what gives? Gignatz
off the top of my head: check that the brush in question isn't a detail brush (press ctrl-d while looking at brush - if it disappears it's a detail brush - ctrl-shift-s should fix it (it makes it structural)). Wudan
You know, funny thing, I've edited JK2 and Q3 based games for bout a year now, and I just finally figured out what HOM means, because I've seen it in long version instead of short version. Very funny.
taboo
wedge2211, I've come across this problem a few times as well. I'll have no leaks in my map, yet in the game I'll be staring off into the void through a brush that is supposedly structural and textured. I fixed the problem by deleting the brush as well as those surrounding it and recreating them. I've received these errors typically when I've got an odd shaped brush (not right angles) and it's touching the void. Good luck!
