skater_craigd
right, just wondering if any person could give me a few pointers... im new to modelling, but have done a few small biddy things, just thinking that when you model character heads? is it best to keep it as one shape? or like make multiple shapes and join them some how? one more thing, would it be better to use Gmax to model? or lightwave? cause ihave both.. thank you for your time, craig"sevled/opul"delves

TheWhiteRaider
You can also turn one of the shapes into a editable mess(Right click on the object and go down to the last menu. Make sure manipulate is on to do this.) and then use the attach funtion(Right click hit attach and then left click on what you want to attach.). legameboy
i read in a tutorial, when you animate you have to use sumthing called transform gizmo, where do i find this? thnx in advance
Psynex
the transform gizmo, I believe, is those 3 arrows you use to move and rotate objects. You really should start with a basic tutorial before jumping right into animation. Going through a 15 minute modelling tutorial teaches you the basics of the tools.
