And to foster a BIT of hope folks are currently working on a way to play SP maps using the MP engine. If THAT works then you'll see multiple sabers and styles. It'll be a long wait though. Emon Posted November 24, 2002 Share Posted November 24, 2002 Problems with remaking SP for MP (it's already been done in WLS's crappy (not their fault) coop mod): 256 brush entity limit for things like func_doors and func_trains. It lets me control the enemy, which is really cool. It doesn't say Level 4 or anything in the Force section of the info screen. Also, nothing else changes. Why is this? Covax Posted November 25, 2002 Share Posted November 25, 2002 This is going to sound super-super-stupid but wouldn't it be (theoreticaly) possible to slice up the existing maps 'small' enough so that they would fit into the MP engine? And then, AFAIK after a half year, they gave thumbs up for the release. And JO is based on the EF code.... So theoreticly it´s possible.
