Why don't the Chinese like the movie? If it's because it's unrealistic, I can only disagree - I think you have to watch the movie as a kind of exaggerated folk tale, nothing more.

as i have never seen the movie in which li mu-bai kicked so much arse i didnt choose him, instead i picked Blade.

 

just because i think that he would fight smarter then most of the others. i cannot really say what li mu might do but wolverine and wallace would just rush in. ... and get chopped up. bruce lee while being totally kick arse couldnt stand up to nonhuman abilities. as for the rest, well i dont think they could stop a determined vamp, sorry.

the chinese don't really like the movie cuz its kinda more an art movie. not cuz its not unrealistic. they got much more unrealistic movies in china. but its mainly cuz i don't really know. the first time i saw it i thought it was kinda boring, but i lliked it the second time i saw it. its prolly cuz someof them lack martial arts skills. or mainly i just don't like coriographer's style because its a little slower paced than most chinese martial arts movies

Ok let me reiterate. Its neiter actually. Its a replica of an ancient Wushu style blade.

 

Li Mu Bai, cus the Green Destiny Ownsand will cut all the other wimpass swords to shreds plus he could like semi-fly

 

Take into the fact that his "Green Desinty" blade WASN'T "indesctructible." Do you think he's still win on skill alone?? Thats what i'm basing this on.

 

 

Out of those, I chose Legolas. He would pick the others off at a distance with his perfect aim with the bow and arrow and his speed is amazing.

 

I'd put Legolas out of every other LOTR heroes because he use's daggers in close. I couldn't think of any other extremely well known character that used daggers as a weapon, especially primarily in short ranged melee. If i'd used Gimli he would've gotten no votes (Boromir, and Aragorn/"Strider" for obvious reason to popular heh, and they used swords, didn't want a pure sword list). You would've seen "he's to slow" or "axe's suck" type comments. Even though Gimli is one of my fave's he really was a kick ass diversion vs the Cave Troll.

I highly recommend u watch it. Hell i'd never though Li Mu Bai would be tied for the lead, he was my pick. He's extremely fluid and methodical in all his move's. He makes fencing and swashbuckling look like a cinch.

 

Blade is REALLY fun to watch but put him against these other "skilled," heroes he wouldn't fair THAT well. His moves are fast, but he wastes to much of his energy on fancy move's and also uses lots of guns (omit these u think he still kicks ass?) and fights pathetic opponents heh.

 

As for Bruce Lee. Well obviously u haven't see all his movies. One movie (I forget what its called), he jumps way high like 8 feet in the air. Plus the fact some of his action sequences were sped up (lots of action movies do this to make it look WAY faster). Still he is very skilled specially with 'chucks. You guys seem to forget that 'chucks really hurt when u get hit with em picture it. Plus the inside rope or chain can be used to disarm other ppl's polearms or swords or staves.

 

As for the determined vamp lets just omit the vamp powers for now k?? Hell that wouldn't be very fair if we gave Wolverine his healing ability or else he could get stabbed 10 times and never die so actually he'd "own."

 

course i had to vote Mel Gibson / braveheart. He kicked butt! Not to mention he'd be a hard man to try and take down!

 

Lol i'm surprised good ole' Mel got some votes. Braveheart was a fantastic epic "Real" movie, in terms of mediveal war. William Wallace own's in that movie I though he had great skills with the 2 handed sword. Versus Arny though?? Hmm it's be tough to say he could just knock the weapons outta all the warriors on the list thats his advantage, espically Wallace guys he's not as built as the others.

 

i'll go for blade, the swordfighting in blade II was pretty damn good.

 

conan the librarian might have brut force on his side but it's not as pretty to watch

 

Conan the Barbarian and the similar movies of that dynasty are pretty old and bad movies. One good movie that was with Arny that wasn't a Conan movie was Red Sojnya. That movie was a very good movie considering its age and its budget. If you watch this movie (He plays a hero Kalidor that protect's a group of female warriors who protect a powerful talisman that only women can hold) u'll have a lot more respect for Arny as a swordsman. He's much better in this movie with the sword, then in Conan. I just never said it cuz its not as popular a movie, from that time then Conan was. While on the subject, I was actually gonna put Red Sojnya (Bridgette Nielson) up there. She's very good in the title role, too, and would've been the female "vote." She can more then hold her own.

 

Blade? Spiderman beat up on Blade, Wolverine beat the snot out of Spiderman... Wolverine would win, out of those, methinks...

 

Please note, that I've read maybe two or three issues of X-Men/Spiderman all together in my entire life and my information comes from the Spiderman cartoon... how accurate that is, I don't have any idea... this isn't a topic that I know too much about

 

edit: But you know who I think would beat up on all these wannabes? Westly, the Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride!

 

Spiderman?? Lol he's not melee. He use's weak assed webbing that anyone could parry. I didn't wanna put superhuman's up there, for obvious reason's. Wolverine is mostly relied on by his trusty claws. Thats why I voided his healing ability in the vote.

 

Westly?? Lol ya he was funny. Princess Bride is a great movie.
