Influenza Posted December 11, 2002 Share Posted December 11, 2002 Star Wars: TA, the popular conversion for the classic RTS Total Annihilation, is proud to announce the imminent release of its fourth installment, the Droid Pack! SWTA is an alternate approach to a Star Wars RTS, taking advantage of the Total Annihlation engine's real-time physics and advanced unit control abilities to offer a fast-paced game highly dependent on successful unit control and resource management. It's a very different style from SWGB or Force Commander, and the results are something that needs to be played in order to fully appreciate. The Droid Pack adds 23 units to SWTA: the Droid Production Facility, Battle Droid, Battle Droid Captain, Super Battle Droid, Destroyer Droid, Mark 1 Droid Walker, Probe Droid, TIE Drone, Republic Fighter Tank, Mobile Artillery Platform, Mobile Eweb Trooper, ATAA, and Turbolaser Battery for the Galactic Empire; and Heavy Weapons Lab, Freerunner Compact Assault Vehicle, Ultra-light Attack Vehicle, Heavy Trooper Barracks, Commando, Heavy Trooper, Heavy Rocket Trooper, Bothan Spy, Mobile Blaster Trooper, and Spotter Tower for the Rebel Alliance. The pack will be released this week on Friday the 13th, initially over IRC (join server irc.tauniverse.com channel #swta), and later that day to the general public via our website. TA is by far the most intense RTS of the bunch with that, and to play it with a Star Wars make-up.... ...o.o.o.o.o.o..oo.o.o.oooooooooohhhhhh......
