Com Raven Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Which makes it boring. Once you have a beloved character, you won't try anything risky again... And just staying home in fear of dieing, I can do that in real-life too
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 lol, that is a novel idea. The thing with permanent death is that there isn't a save option.
Com Raven Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 like in Steel Battalion, eject or all saves get wiped...
Taos Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 People will buy Galaxies just for the mp........which is not the reason I personally would buy a game, but I know there are those that do.
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 There is no single-player. Galaxies is solely MP. That is the only reason to buy it. You pay to have your character stored on their database so that you can have a continuing online role in an ever expanding game with thousands of other players.
Taos Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Oh.......well, now you see how much I know about the game. *shrugs*
FunClown Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 So, is the PC version still coming out three months after X-Box? If it is that will be about June, am I correct?
Taos Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 As of right now the official word on the pc release date is "summer '03." My guess is August.....
Hannibal Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Originally posted by Com Raven summer means late june to late september... Late September?! That never sounds right. That Summer goes into Sept. I think we need to adjust the calendar. Summer starts June 1st and ends Aug 31st.
FunClown Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Lol @ com Raven The reason why I get so confused is that I'm in the southern hemisphere. Summer is Winter here and so forth. However, Summer can mean different months to our Winter (June to August). Sounds stupid, but when your head is below your shoulders and are typing upside down, I'm sure you can understand my dilemma.
