savman Posted December 31, 2002 Share Posted December 31, 2002 It would be possible i think to make jedif into mara jade, but this would also convert jan into mara, as the jedif character is actually only jan with her jacket surfed-off. If i were u i would create a new npc for mara jade that u could spawn whenever u want, seeing as u don't even see the female jedi throughout the whole game. boinga1 Posted December 31, 2002 Share Posted December 31, 2002 To edit jedif: 1) create a new folder in your /gamedata folder (MOD in example) 2) extract the model_default.skin and .tgas and .jpgs of mara to /gamedata/MOD/mod (not ?gamedata/MOD). 3) create a new folder in /MOD/mod named jedif. 4) copy the model.glm and model_default.skin to jedif. 5) open npcs.cfg in folder /ext_data in assets0.pk3 6) extract it to MOD/mod, find the jedif line, and change model to "jedif," then delete the lines that say "surfOff" and "surfOn" 7) zip it all up into a pk3 and it should work. to make a new npc, extract the mara files the same way. DO NOT make a jedif folder. open a new .txt file, and copy and paste the jedif lines from npcs.cfg. rename the name to jedimara or jedijade (the "jedi" is essential). change the filename to *.npc. zip it up, and i think you're done.
