Do you think ep2 was better then ep1?

Preferred EpII over EpI.

But I have gotten ot the point now where I am watching them purely as action films with a vague resemblance to a series of books I like to read ;)

Less Jar-Jar helped alot, although the effort in to making Jar-Jar the worlds, nay, the UNIVERSE'S biggest monkey lover made snes.

Still don't like it, but it made sense... minor excuse.

Ground battle was an improvement. The secenary is less clean, more gritty and stuff. But still basically a well placed plain on an otherwise cratered and fissures planet!

Endor was a cool place for a battle. Okay, ewoks were maybe not liked by others, but that was a location!

And for my final rant:

I don NOT agree with those of you who prefer either PT episode over the OT.

No contest. Episode II was far better.

Whilst Episode I had the Republic Cruiser (one of the coolest ships ever designed, IMO), the sneaky-sneaky aboard the Trade Federation Control Ship, and :mauls: (the best Sith EVER), Episode II had Kamino (fantastic location), :wan: in his Jedi Starfighter being attacked by :jfett: in :slave: , and (the best bit of the movie) the full-scale epic battle of the Clone Wars. Oh, and Natalie Portman looking foxy. :naughty:

Oh, and Dooku (pronounced "Doh-koo", seeing as Lucas created him, and he pronounced it that way.... :p ) sucked big time.

I agree with Darth Mall...There was just too much Jar Jar. But it's the only movie with Qui-Gon, and I think he's cool. But there where too little action, save for the duel between Darth Maul, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Also, it took a little too long, before that pod-race...I'm glad that they cut out the extended grid scene ;). The cut where Qui-Gon was destroying that droid, was however good, because it gives an explenation on why they are running towards the ship.

I think Episode II is better because there is much more action, but it can't match the old movies. The actors are playing better when they are in the scenery, and not on a bluescreen. Also, Anakin and Obi-Wan's fighting skills disappointed me! They were defeated like a bug... :(
