razorace
A lot of people (including me) don't like the new editting forum organization. Aristotle told me to post a poll to see if we should change the system back. If enough people dislike the new system he say he'll change it back. So, vote early, vote often! Takeoffyouhoser
I think it was a bad idea to combine those forums. Lord knows I have no clue how to skin or model, but it was well organized to find information on stuff anyhow. I think getting these forums , along with coding, back to normal would be great. However, we should have more forums as well Break the mapping forum up into a Single Player and Multiplayer forum. Maybe an archived tutorial forum as well. Nothing gets posted there but all tutorials. This way, the clutter atop every seperate topic forum can mostly be placed in this seperate forum. finally, shut down Yoda's Swamp and send them to Yahoo chat or something. 150,000 off topic posts in one forum!! I vote to shut this waste of bandwith down on this site, or, place it in the Lucasforms / network page. Its no wonder you ahve to update servers and whatnot, 150,000 discussions about pimples and Avril Lavigne, and all this on a Jedi Outcast board???? this is rather laughable... Yun the Sith
I think it was a pretty bad idea, I mean, everything nwe gets buried in about 3 hours. I think we need everything seperate again.
Emon
I also think it sucks this way. If it's harder on the moderators, get more moderators! There are quite a few people around here who would make good moderators, wudan is the first that comes to mind.
Wudan
It does suck this way. More moderators would be spiffy. Myself? A moderator? Well ... certainly there are still more powerful forum-goers who would enjoy the honor, but, you never know. There are other forums out there that do have separated up forums for JK2 that aren't getting enough play, in case this all gets too frustrating. A lot of my earlier frustrations are blowing over, though. Our forums were a solution, but they should have been a temporary solution - we should be making tutorials. Massive tutorials, so that we can be more effective, and get everybody on the same page and up to speed.
razorace
Yeah, but we're all hardcore lazy.
Wudan
Hell yeah! Why work twice as hard when half as hard gets the same results?
Tchouky
yeah, as you probably know i m one of the disapointed too... i think this new system, has only disadvantages. the "moderator will have an easier job" argument is a non sense... i think the forum organisation should contribute to a user-friendly system not the contrary... this merging has apparently been done without any discution between the different moderators and is not very well accepted. the coding forum has lost many things (except the fact there are no coding forum anymore) we lost the stickys which helped the newcomers to get all the infos they needed to start a mod. all the information is pretty inaccessible now, and we can't have a decent conversation anymore... well i really DO hope you will switch things back as they were before. btw if you do try to find a few active moderators in all the forums... (not that ASk has been doing a bad job )
