Then I tried looking for it on other websites and couldn't find it. Can someone put up a link or send the Surfaces On/Off tool. Eldritch Posted January 9, 2003 Share Posted January 9, 2003 Did you hit 'New Thead' by mistake while trying to hit 'Post Reply'? You don't need a "tool" to turn surfaces on or off in JK2. ~angel~ Posted January 10, 2003 Author Share Posted January 10, 2003 Thx thought you had to have a tool. But, I tried to turn off the sunglasses...and I can't seem to work it. I copied the line out of the model_default.skin and put it into a .surf file with surfoff "the line" and it didn't work. What did I do wrong? Tell me how ta do it plz? Eldritch Posted January 10, 2003 Share Posted January 10, 2003 You don't need to put the entire line into the surf file. Just put surfoff "surfacename". For example, if the surface that you wanted to turn off was named 'sunglasses', you'd put: SurfOff "sunglasses" Or if there's another surface you want to turn off as well (say there's a hat or something) : SurfOff "sunglasses hat" Just put a space in-between each of the surface names, then pak it with the model... once you get in-game, you won't see the sunglasses.
