I was wondering it it was possible to view the items (bacta tank for example) in JO with a program outside of it.

I appologise if this has been asked before (im a n00b), but i did a search and looked in the FAQs and couldnt find anything...

Modview, a tool that comes in the JKII editing toolset will allow you to view glm files. However you will need to make sure the files lie in a directory path that doesn't contain spaces.

C:/gamedata/base/models/players/modelname/model.glm

is cool

c:/program files/lucas arts/....

not cool

Thank you ksk.

Ive downloaded the toolset, and put the asset file into a folder with no spaces, however when i open the md3 file, the actual model loads up fine but the textures have problems:

Debug:

Texture "models/items/bacta.tga" not found

Ive checked and the "models/items/bacta.tga" file does exist, so i dont know whats wrong, can anyone help?

By the way, i used MD3 view to view the model. Mod view wouldnt let me view the Bacta model file. It is MD3 that is giving me the error, anyone help me? PLease :D

Dont you need to load the texture file or .skin file in modview? (go to file import skin).

Also make sure you have your stuff extracted to the right path:

c:/base/models/items/

The quake 3 engine always looks for the base folder (kind of the root dir for 3d models)
