Is FFXII a single-player RPG or is it one of those online RPG travesties?

Well Final Fantasy 6 and Final Fantasy 7 had revolutionary graphics for their time, but I get your point, just had to throw those in the pot as well. I think FFX get's to much attention as is, considering how linear it was. Praise has gotta be shown for the classics lol...

Also FFXII will be single player last I heard. Was this a serious question btw??

is this FFXII the same thing as FFX-2? (for those who dont know FFX-2, its the 1st direct sequel to a final fantasy game)

No it is not. FFX-2 is the direct sequal whereas FFXII is the next single player orignal FF title to be released.

Well, it's better to allude to FFX's graphics than what they did to the Zelda games on the GC. *shudders*

And if FFX was so linear and bad, then why make a sequel? :p

Blah. Hopefully Squaresoft gets it into their heads that naming an online FF game as part of the series is quite stupid and they change it around before release.

Yes, it is not FF X-2 (10-2) It is FF XII (12)......trust me on this! :p

But, I loved FFX's graphics, sure, they were kinda simple, but it could all change in the other games. But, what can be next in an FF game. They already did Futuristic types, Medieval types, Present types. I dont know tho??? I hope we can find out soon tho. I NEED TO SEE PICS OF THE GAME!!!!:D

We know that Auron and Tidus are pretty much gone. So far, I've seen screenshots of Yuna and Rikku and one other girl dressed up in a rather impractical-looking (and quite revealing) get-up. I've not seen Wakka, Lulu or Kimahri, but that doesn't mean they're not in FFX-2. We won't really know until it's released later this year.

Well,

Tidus is still alive, he was trapped in a cage or something I guess.

and

No Signs of Auron so I think hes dead

and

I saw Kimahri in a picture...go to http://www.gamers.com to check out Kimahri...

and

That new girl's name is something like Pain, or Paine or something, at least in the Japanese version. The only thing I dont like about her, is that she has red eyes, and her hair style looks like and 80's style gone wrong.

OH don't get me wrong I absolutely loved FFX I just don't like all the attention it's getting on these forums, it's not the best FF IMHO FF6 was. Everything about it from the Sphere Grid to Blitzball was cool, I just hated the fact that there was no exploratory factor WHATSOEVER. It's basically an example like this;

ok we've finished Besaid now lets goto Luca and NO WHERE else

. Games with goto point B from point A is tedious after a while, I like to EXPLORE.

Any of the Final Fantasy could have sequels I think they are making a sequel for it because quite simply they can't rely on the fact that PS2 players possibly haven't played previous versions and have to rely on the character developement and innovations such as Sphere Grid, and no time gauge, as catalysts for a sequel. You can't really make anything innovative for a sequel to say Final Fantasy 4 (Cecil becomes a BLACK MAGE COOOOOOL).

Tidus isn't trapped anywhere. The fayth brought him to Spira as a dream of theirs and when he fulfilled their purpose for him, they no longer had to dream, which is why he becomes ethereal and passes through Yuna and goes flying off somewhere.

Auron got sent. He's now happily in the Farplane, so I don't think they'll be bringing him out of his well-deserved retirement.

Yea, but since hes a dream, hes not real, and why in a trailer I saw, they were like holding hands while running. *stares*

Maybe she was dreaming. They did share that huge makeout/acid trip session in the Macalania Woods after all. Maybe she was just remembering that and reminiscing. :p
