Super J
when i was modeling in milkshape, you could place verticies, then connect them to create faces. in gmax, i have to create a plane, convert it to a mesh, then delete the plane and add the verticies. is there anyway that i can create the verticies without first creating a plane? thanks
Psyk0Sith
I dont think there is another way, i'm using 3D studio max (g-max is supposed to be very similar) and that's how i do it.

ksk h2o
Hmmm... If you are editing an existing object, you can of course just add vertices under edit mesh->vertex->create. If you have a blank scene and just want to insert an object of some sort, then yes, you have to create some sort of geometry to start working with....
