War Master Posted January 18, 2003 Posted January 18, 2003 If you have please fill me in on what program you used, how you took the screenshots and resized them. Any tips or suggestions are welcome too.
Psyk0Sith Posted January 18, 2003 Posted January 18, 2003 I'm also wondering where the compiler is??? maybe in tool kit 2.0? It's included in the Quake 3 Toolkit 1.5: http://www.planetquake.com/eoc/qtoolkit/index.shtml You can check out the "ROQ files.doc" file in Raven tool kit 1.0 for more info.
War Master Posted January 19, 2003 Author Posted January 19, 2003 I know where the compiler is. I've read the ROQ file doc and made a param file with screenshots and all, but it just didn't do anything. I'll give the Quake III toolkit a try.
recombinant Posted January 19, 2003 Posted January 19, 2003 OK... how about playing an .ROQ from within the code? Any examples of this available? Jaii mentioned that there was a console command for playing ROQs, and if I knew which one it was I could use it. Unfortunately he didn't say which command to use. I tried "\cinematic" which worked to a point, but froze my system after finishing. Perhaps I did something wrong... Anyway, if someone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
MilesTeg Posted January 19, 2003 Posted January 19, 2003 cinematic yourroq in the console should be the right command (works in sp and mp for me - haven´t tested the df mod code yet ). btw: for sound use 22kHz wav files! Everything else would cause stuttering in the video playback!
recombinant Posted January 19, 2003 Posted January 19, 2003 Thanks, MilesTeg. I tried "\cinematic outcast" command and it froze after playing the ROQ. I'm sure it was some flavor of jk2mp that I tried it in... dunno if it was JODFMOD or not (probably not - more likely the original WLS codebase).
