Mandalore1
I just finished a female mandalorian model , but i haven't got the hang of UVWmapping in 3DS max and there's probably no way i can learn how to put it in the game, so...can someone make a quick UVW map for this model? I can paint the texture once i have the map, but after that i'll still need it set up for JK2. Anyone willing to help me out on this? Here's a screenshot of what i have so far: http://www.angelfire.com/80s/TiamaT/Fmando.html
Matt-Liell
I need the exact same thing for my Legolas model, a skinmapper and someone to put it ingame. Sorry for posting this in your thread Mandalore1 but it seemed to fit. About your model talk to Isanesith, he is doing a female mando model aswell! Mandalore1
Hmmm...well since so many female mandalorians are being made...i guess i could take the helmet off and put another race's head on it, like a rodian, (which was my original idea once upon a time) or maybe a bothan. Haven't seen many of those around. Or maybe...a stormtrooper helmet! that would be different, lol. ...ok now i'm going to be busy modeling all kinds of different heads for this model. lol. guess i'll be back later, again. Mandalore1
All i can do is model, i can't do anything to get the models in the game. I can make UVmaps for models like this if i make all the parts separately and peice them together in 3ds, but for the "one piece" models the only thing i can do is a Z Planar map which might look pretty bad. I'd love to have someone else helping out, and i'd be glad to offer what little i can do. Ok here's an update. I've put a modified Tie-Fighter Pilot's helmet on the model, and i think this is a better way to go. http://www.angelfire.com/80s/TiamaT/Fmando.html This new armor, (possibly constructed from different parts found across the galaxy), gives a certain individuality that the regular Fett helmet didn't, and sort of creates it's own profile and story for this character. Also, a simple Red/Black/Silver color scheme would work great IMO.
mace_sundancer
well don't be discouraged from doing a female mandalorian of your own, after all there's about 3 battle droids, four clonetroopers and 2 or 3 different fett models, so i'm sure we can have 2 different mandalorians... El Sitherino
yeah. it would be cool but all i can do basically is model. so we even eh. well i cant even model that well i mainly edit beyond belief. but i think we could make a good team if you wanna give it a shot. Mandalore1
i just wrote out a whole big reply...and this ridiculous time limit thing logged me out so it never got posted. Anyways...well this model has a lot of polys to it that shouldn't be there. I made it from primitives mostly, and alot of edges are hidden, so i'm going to try and take some out of it. If you can make the UVmaps, i can texture them, but i don't know how to make skin files. We'll still need another member of the team who can get the models into the game. Also i was thinking...if you're making a female mandalore, then maybe we can put that one together with these two and make a "Fem Mando" pak? Mandalore1
LOL, yeah that is a pretty cool pic there. K last update to the model, i have both *.3DS files zipped and uploaded, and they've been severley chopped up. ( I got rid of almost 1000 polys. ) InsaneSith - If you can make the UV's for them i'll start texturing, then when you finish your model, we can start figuring out how to get them in the game. http://www.angelfire.com/80s/TiamaT/Fmando.html
