I hope is uses the Doom 3 engine. The Quake 3 engine is good but you have to admit that it is getting old. The Doom 3 engine is amazing! Just read about what it can do. Jedi Knight 3 on the Doom 3 engine. Can you imagine!?

Yeah, Raven's going to use an engine to a game that isn't even finished yet, requires a mega system to play, uses so many polys that the only a few creatures can be on the screen at once, and has 4 player client-client multiplayer.

Just wondering but why can't this be posted in the other JK: expansion/JK3 threads. :D

Oh and back to the point. Yea Doom 3 engine would be awesome. I hope they put it on that... if a new game is coming out that is.

DF4 deserves the best engine on the market, to live up to its illustrious tradition of quality. If DooM III has such an engine at the time of licensing, then DooM III's engine is the one to pick.

no the game would not sell cause everyone would have to spend $100 ugrading their system just to play the game. I know I do. Not worth it IMHO.

Thats what games are coming to if you like it or not. So prepare to get out your wallets. I wouldn't be surprised if they used Doom 3. I strongy doubt that they will use the Quake 3 engine over again plus, like I said, Raven is already working with the Doom 3 engine to make Quake 4.

I'm not sure if you guys all have heard of this yet, but the leaked E3 demo of Doom III has run (and very well so) on a wide variety of system specs. Caramack was blowing a little hot air a few years ago when he estimated the system specs.

All that being said, Technology keeps progressing... Like it or not eventually your hardware will become obsolete
