Hello?

Just to make things absolutely clear, I think this game's going to rock, and it's a shame nobody can think of anything to say about it. I've never been interested in RPGs much before, and I never played Baldur's Gate or even thought about it for long, but the idea of participating in the ancient Jedi/Sith wars is way too cool to pass up. It's certainly more original than the other ports, sequels, and clones, even if it is based on existing comic books. I just hope it controls well, the music is good, and it fits into Official Continuation.

There's not much info out on it yet so there's nothing much to talk about. Also, everyones caught up in JK2 right now. :)

Heya i'm new here and i would like to say that this game is NOT based on the (TOTJ)comics but several hundreds of years after all that.

I thought you just like to know that.

And yes I too am already a big fan of this game without having seen any of it. :D

But i am also a big fan of Jedi outcast i mean....by my mother in-laws beard....just look at those screenshots...*drool*...and i'm sure you have. :)

Bioware are creating a brand-new engine that will take advantage of all the new hard-ware, so I don't think it will have the same system reqs as the TPM game.

I too am looking forward to this game - and I haven't played an RPG for a while. They keep producing Iso3D and Birds-eye-view RPGs, which I don't like. I read somewhere that you can get down into the action a bit more with KOR, so that is a big plus for me.

It certainly sounds very promising. It's a pity there isn't even a screen grab to look at - at least then we would have some idea about how the game looks. Even some concept art wouldn't go amiss. In fact, concept art of a game in early development is often useful if you want to see how the game developed.

I've followed several games from their very early stages, and luckily those developers released some early eye candy. I still have some old concept art for the original Half-Life - and many of the creature designs changed in the final version of the game.

I'm not saying that they should overload us with stuff about KOR - but they should at least start trickle-feeding us something we can really discuss.

We need some eye candy! ;)

Does anyone know if there is a KOR fan site or something yet? Or even an official site?

Yeah i find it a bit odd that they havent released any (screen)-shots yet or anything else for that matter and they have been working on this game for nearly six months.

Surly they can show the fan something like art-work or.....well anything!!

And then there is Jedi outcast, in production since febr. and what do we have??

Thats right.....2 movies 7 screenshots.

Ofcourse i understand that an RPG of bioware proportions is really much more elaborate then a "simple" FPS like JK2.....but still....very very strange....

Yeah, but the common cure for that is a internet breakdown. Believe me, I know.

Anyways, this game will surely require some major hardware. I heard somewhere that a high end computor for this game would be somewhere around 1.5 Gz, and the bare minimum around 450 Hz. Plus a good graphics card. Looks like it's time for an upgrade.

Darth Vader...

I don't know if KOR will be better than SWG, but I suspect it may not. However, the big plus for me is that I won't have to play the game online, or pay $10 per month for the privilege of playing it.

From what has been said in previews, I suspect KOR will have around 50 hours of gameplay. Also, if it is a success, they may very well produce expansion packs, as they have for Baldur's Gate etc.

KOR is a single player game, as far as I know, and although you may be slightly limited in your choice of races/characters, I'm sure there will be a very strong storyline to the game.

SWG seems a bit more of a freeform long-term game to me, without a specific end, and this is something I personally disliked with Daggerfall - it was just too long for my particular gaming taste. ;) Also, I'm not sure I would play SWG enough each month to warrant the continual outlay.

So I don't think the question is whether or not KOR is better than SWG in terms of engine/graphics and what-have-you...it is more a matter of what fits some people's budgets, time and personal gaming tastes. :)

I think that SWG will be a better game but i don't know how many people will play it for $10 a month.

KOR will be a great game, but not quite as good SWG. Still, i think that it is gonna rock and alot of people will play buy and play it for a while.

You decide which one makes a game better.

Personally i dont give a rats ass as to what is going to get a better rating.

I'm interested in SWG sure, what SW fan isnt, but i probably will not have the time to play online and/or not the cash to keep paying/playing.

And then there is always the chance that players will f*ck the game up.

And i rather like to play rpg's just by my lonesome-self.

As to how many hours of gameplay KOR is gonna have....well....me thinks its gonna be significantly more then 50 hours.

Mainly because of how games are "evolving" and because of what we already know.

You could get away with 50-60 hours of gameplay NOW....but by the end of 2002 beginning of 2003 games will be larger and "more" if you know what i mean.

And Darth Vader if you think SWG is gonna have better ratings well....thats fine but dont keep repeating it.

What i mean is is that you dont have to convince us of anything i'm sure its going to be a great game but we are not in this particular corner of this particular forum because we like SWG so much.

We are here cause we like SW:KOR. (and yes secretly we all like SWG much more. )
