A little refresher on the Trilogy

Recommended Posts

Hah! Don't think that I use some wack American version, I read the original version every time, yes, the one published in GB. I haven't even seen any american versions, since I livein Europe. And as a matter of fact, in the swedish translation, the one most closely knit to Tolkiens ideas (since he was a professor in Scandinavian languages, and took most of his names from it's folklore and languages, and that he was personally very active in the translation), the name is "Skuggfaxe", wich translates to, *tadaa* Shadowfax. And Tolkien is even told to have said that he liked the scandinavian translations of several names better! ;P

So no, the proper name is Shadowfax, while Scadufax is common in translations, especially in latin and slavic languages.

And no, it was Shadowfax all along in the movie. That, you just made up. :p

Is THIS the end of discussion, or do you want to get pounded again? :D (you all know it: don't start a discussion with setsuko that you can't finish :p)
