JDKnite188
Can someone explain to me exactly how to make a rotating brush such as a ceiling fan? I made the fan brush structure, put an origin brush in the center of the fan, made it a func_rotate, and then when I compiled it turned out really funny. The fan was rotating around something outside the hull of the map. It was also spinning as it moved. I could only see the fan moving by using the "r_showtris 1" command; the fan intercepted the location where I put it in the map on the path of the circle. Does anybody know what is wrong? wedge2211
Did you also make some other faraway brush part of the func_rotating?
Leslie Judge
When you select all of the fan parts, select the origin brush too, then make them into a func_rotating together. Without the origin brush the default origin is the 0, 0, 0 point of the map. To make back your func_rotating into simple brushes select the func_rotating, then choose Ungroup Entity from the right-click menu.
