Feral
Australia's bowler, and one fo the greatest cricketers ever...he took a diuretic to help him lose weight, but they're banned in cricket, because they can also be used to flush other drug out of the body system. He's been banned for a year, and intends to appeal.
Gabez
Well I personally don’t like the way he’s blaming his mother. The problem is that sports men and women aren’t just players; they’re role models too.
HelenW
i don't know much about sports, but that seems a bit silly for cricket. I mean it's not like athletics where they are taking steroids and stuff. I mean, cricket?? Everyone sits around all day on the village green drinking beer and eating cucumber sandwiches. Besides, loads of people take diuretics, all they do is make you wee. Dieters take them, women take them for monthly problems, people with high blood pressure take them. How silly to ban them. Joshi
i don't really think he has much of a right to blame his mother. he isn't diebetic, but she put it in to flush out his body, not of drugs, but i think he wasn't well or something. i don't know fully, i only heard this on 'They think it's aol over' the other night so i haven't got the full story. still, i don't think he should have eben banned for that, they found it in his bag or whatever, but that doesn't mean he took it, al they need to do is test his blood or urine. if he's taken it, it'll show that he's taken it, if not, then it'll show if he had any drugs to wash out in the first place. Feral
They already did test him for it. THat's how they found it, and he admitted it. Ahd he didn't blame his mother, as such; rather, he said that she gave it to him to help him lose weight.
