newbie questions about your forms

what is up with the points vs post system, and what is the buddy list?

 

everything else seems pretty normal from what ive seen at other forums, but these are new to me.

 

can you get stuff with your points, or does that just show off your 1337|\|355?

 

does the buddy list just make it more convient to PM some of your friends? or is there some other benefit?

With points you can buy special little extras for yourself at the forum Store. The buddy list tells you when your friends are online.

2 points for every post.

 

Usually Glowy names and Signature pictures.
