You think you guys have it bad!?!?!?!?

Im from England, which means we get it 2 months after you, why i don't ****ing know, its always gonna be that way unless we get rid of this stupid PAL codding. But if its June for the yanks, its August for us!!!!!! Batards!!!! They got my hopes up, on a few English gaming sites like computerandvideogames.com they have it down for a March 28th release date, as does a fav gaming mag i read, they must pay for lying to us English gamers!!!!

Ok i'm calm now, well not really but.....you know.

Not really. Actually not at all. Up until June 21 is still Spring and all they ever said was Spring 03.

Now if they move it again then it's delayed.:shakes fist at Bioware: :)

Indeed, not bad. You see, swatteam, I've been waiting for this game since the very first press release, which was about three years ago, so I've grown quite accustomed(sp?) to waiting. :p

Plus, look at it from the bright side : A delay can, in the end, only mean that we'll receive a better product than what we got before.

I for one can understand all the "bitching". First they tell us its fall 2002. Then its Spring 2003. Now its June, which is closer to Summer 2003. Of course all of us would prefer a "complete, mostly bug-free product" but when we are gearing up for a "specified" date we are then let down when it approaches. Its an emotional roller coster ride that I wish to get off already. I would have preferred they have told us originally that its coming out in June 2003. It would have saved us from the emotional stress.

The thing that calms me down about the situation is that Bioware isn't doing this on purpose. They originally thought that it would be out in the Fall of '02. It is very dissapointing to have changing dates but at the same time you have to look at it from their perspective.

When the game is finished it will be released.

Also we never had a "specified" date, just a time period. Kind of like an era. This game will come out in the modern era.:)

You're taking my words a little out of context. So let me rephrase my words. I fully support Bioware for delaying the game and understand why they are doing it. I'm sure that when it does come out it will be a finished product. My gripe is that I wished they originally have stated the game would take that long to produce. For instance go back to when they gave the first release date of Fall 2003. You had all that time to have peace of mind. Then when it got closer to the "specified" - and I use that word subjectively - date we had to regroup and gather our collective joy from the ground and gear up for another 3-6 month wait. Its the uncertainty that kills me not necessarily the delay. I would love a solid release date so that I can have peace of mind. I'm just an impatient man who waited patiently for THREE years. I'm sure you can understand.

Oh yeah, I understand. I was here(the JPB forums) the day the press release came out. So I know what you mean. It's even tougher because the game looks and is set up a lot better than I expected when I heard about it.

You know I think I might have accidently ran your comments in with what I was reading off the Bioware Forums. It just kills me how people will complain as if this is something Bioware and LucasArts absolutely owe them. It's ridiculous.

One thing game players should know and understand is that games are delayed. It just gets me how people don't accept that.

I'm used to buying games well after they came out. When I bought JK1, Mysteries of the Sith was already out. So waiting for a game is new to me. I think Obi Wan was the first game I waited for and we see how that turned out.

Imagine all those poor fools waiting for that Duke Nukem game. Games have gone from concept, been released, and sent to the bargain bin since the original release date for that thing.

Seriously, if you consider yourself a gamer, you should know projected release dates never stick.

It's just a matter of pleasing the fans, so they just throw a date out in the air, and say we hope it's going to be finished somewhere around there.

Bioware have never stated specifically that the game will be ready at any date. It's all estimation, and that's why I get sick of people complaining about games getting 'pushed back'.

i'v been waiting for this game for about 2 years now, so i can wait an extra month. i know it will be a lot better that if it was released if fall 2002, or feb. 2003. i'm just upset that it comes out over summer break when i start working. might not have enough time to play it.:(

What a bitter response, swatteam... how about cheering up a bit... at least now have a month instead of a vague answer that could mean anything.

This is exactly my point here folks. Like I said I'm not really upset about the delays - I fully understand it comes with the territory (Hello, Darth Simpson;)). Its more like I'm upset that I really don't know when it will be released. I just hate it when I don't know what is going on. Please excuse me, Its a character flaw.:( Now its June 2003 for the Xbox which is a solid date, not a "vague answer that could mean anything.":)

I don't know, June seems pretty vague to me. :D;)

Stating June narrows it down to within a month. This to me is way better than waiting for it within a three month peroid. In other words, Instead of saying, "does it come out in March? April? May?". We now can say "it comes out in June". This relaxes me so that now I don't have this anxious feeling everytime I log on hoping that this is the day we finally get a release date. Granted we haven't gotten a specified day in June but like I said we now know its in that month.

Never trust a site that lets you review a game up to 1 1/2 years before it comes out.

That's just crazy. Even crazier is that you have people giving it one star saying LucasArts has put out crappy SW games so this'll probably be crappy too. :sighs:
