I personally think it's a bit much, even for a forum like The Harbor, where we talk about almost anything, and it seems like just spam to me. However, others might not think so. So I'm putting it up for the democratic process--should I delete those threads?

This part of the forum is basically "General Discussions" in disguise isn't it? I think you should only edit or delete offensive or nasty posts. Just leave the others alone. After all, whats wrong with people talking about what they want? Thats why you have different sections of the forum, to talk about different things
Joshi Posted March 29, 2003 Posted March 29, 2003 do you think blodes are smart is the basis for a discussion, but knowing the people here, it could turn into one of three things, an full ouy argument, a flame thrower (insults) or a spam fest. the divorce one wasn't as bad, but as brief said before, posting too many posts in a short time is basis for spam.

Technically, she was not breaking any rules (although she was bordering on spam, and it was annoying). Therefore, I wanted to go through with a democratic process of letting fellow forumers decide. And it seem as of right now, the majority agree with me, although the point is moot, now that the threads have been combined and closed.

Joshi Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 what has hierarchy got to do with it, we just don't like people upping their post count with meaningless posts (or at least not too often). i frankly didn't mind when you said OK, or at least can tollerate it and most of the people here can tolerate it if it's relevent to the subject in hand. kjolen was simply pointing out to you that one word answers aren't always classed as a post, but more as spam. despite what you may think, you do have a lot of freedom here, just within certain boundaries, as you would find with anything.
