Ugh. Sadaam will kill more civilians in a month than we will during our entire campaign. Consider their casualities the last under Sadaam's brutal regime.

Read that too, for a nice counterpoint.

I'd almost be willing to bet that the bomb that fell in the marketplace today was a tactic by the regime to make soldiers much less welcome by the people upon entering Baghdad. Honestly, it's a great tactic, albeit ruthless. It seems awfully suspicious considering how close we are to Baghdad.

Don't forget that Saddam held a live televised press conference during his first few years of leadership where he announced a conspiracy against him, and named 60 people, some were close members of his own Bath Party.

This does not make me pro war, I am still indifferent and undecided on the necessity of this conflict. However it is decided that Saddam is a ruthless villian either way.

sure no1 can argue about that, saddam is evil. but also, no1 can argue about the reasons usis targeting iraq, and its not because of saddam being a blood thirsty lunatic (remeber who put him on power on the first place)

there r plenty of ways to get saddam, the us in only in open combat (can we call bombing a city full of civillians an open combat??) because they wanna let the world be sure they won the war, therefore they get to rebuild the place and keep the oil.

also, because bush wants to show americans the govt is doing something about the sept11 attack (he calls em evil axis or something like that, linking saddam and osama. a sad but interesting irony, since they were both products of the us). and lets face it, bush is fighting agains a virus with a boxe glove, he ll never kill it this way.

its really sad, cause i have lots of american friends, and unluckly for them, bush ddnt study world history enough to realise that hes just following the steps that made the whole world dislike the us.

Hey, I'm always open to new opinions. That article makes a strong point. I'm very aware that Sadaam is a ruthless, fascist pig who rules with, putting it lightly, an iron fist. I would love to see Sadaam removed from Iraq and a democracy established, however, going in by force and forcing a democracy to be established is hardly democratic, now is it?

Assasination won't do anything...that'll just bring another dictator into the picture and war will kill thousands which is just...wrong. I don't know how to put it any other way. War is wrong.
