darthfergie Posted March 31, 2003 Share Posted March 31, 2003 D-Warriors 4 has come out and I picked it up on Saturday. Amazing game. It has SO much more story and is much closer to the books. It's storyline is well developed and easy to understand. Plus there are TONS of new options. -The weapons gain XP to give you a higher lvl weapon (up to lvl. 10) and there is a new items system in which characters have a set amount of slots for a specific type of item. So now there is no delima of taking a horse into battle and not using another type of item. -Customize a character or set of body guards -All normal characters have up to 6 different looks to choose from (you must earn them) -All new combos. You can string together much larger sets of combos. -DUELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -TONS AND TONS of scripted events that are possible -and so much more *warning* the Mosou campaign is LONG, especially for any of the main 3 characters from 1 side. (the first three that are available...you must earn other characters as you go along) and Lu Bu is STILL a monster...except he has a majorly evil charge attack that completely bypasses your guard stance (...well at least my early level Guan Yu's) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd recommend playing Mosou mode through with your favorite side once tho, (you get moves as you earn the characters). The most amazing thing about the game is the way Mosou mode is carried out. It sticks to the books very well AND if you complete certain things you can play a gaiden mission (a secret level really. Only activated to play if you let certain people escape and make certain events happen. gamefaqs.com already has a decent FAQ on the gaiden levels...but sometimes key words are not translated well since it is taken from the Japanese version of the game) Also another addition to Mosou mode is the "other" characters get Mosou modes (Lu Bu's Mosou being the kewlest). Total Mosou modes = 7 (with several combos because of gaiden levels) Wei (default) Wu (default) Shu (default) Lu Bu's (earned when Lu Bu is unlocked- clear any faction's Mosou) Dong Zhou's (earned when he is unlocked- clear Lu Bu's Mosou mode) Yuan Shao (earned when Wei mosou is cleared) NanMan (earned once you capture Meng Huo 7 times) My Monster Characters (1 per faction) = Zhou Tai, Lu Bu, Zhao Yun, Xu Huang Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
