angbandadmin
any specific information on how they stack up?
AlliedCommander
Do you mean troop center units and no dds or dark troopers or do you mean the trooper recruit on up class? They are good vs grenade antiair obviously (think monuty too). in general, never send bounty hunter against repeater troopers. Maybe in t3, if they still have troopers ( right above recruits---that was the most pathetic trooper name. I mean how do you know what you are talking about?) and you got a bounty hunter which is about as good in t3 as in t4, maybe just as good. But it gets slaughtered when the standard troops get upgraded. A bounty--150 food, 150 carbon,(=300) thats 5 times as much as standard class trooper (35 carbon, 25 food=60). And 5 repeaters will definatley kill a bounty, if they face it individually they still kill it easily. It gets worse. For the best-trooper Wookiees, (i did test it in the scen. ed.)a single fully upg. troop can kill a bounty (which is post 4, if it makes a difference) and survive, with no outside conditions. I hope i covered the subject. Its not a surprising coclusion, but many people think a bounty will be ok against troopers and still try it.
another_trooper
true true but bounty hunters have other purposes. . . die damn jedi masters die!
pbguy1211
what's strongest... a FU rebel repeater, a FU wookie repeater, or a FU confederacy repeater? I'm thinking the confed... but I could be wrong.
DarthMuffin
It's the wook one. I tried various 1 on 1 trooper battles. Reb and confed are equal with 1.
pbguy1211
really? i know the rebs get like 30 or 35 + hp... the confeds get 25+ hp and +3 attack, what do the wookies get to trump that?
swphreak
They're Wookiees. Wookiee troops are the best.
angbandadmin
thanks AlliedCommander i was just wondering if bounty hunters had any uses other than killing jedi scum. hehe. and why did the empire get stuck with a rodain bounty hunter. why not boba fett? joesdomain
I think bounty hunters in a sequel should be good at killing workers, medics, jedi/sith, any trooper except darktrooper.
lukeiamyourdad
They already are man! At least they're good enough. Ithink 5 bounties can take care of a regular strike.
Sithmaster_821
I read (a long long time ago when there were many people playing this game) on a forum that a bounty barely beats a FU repeater. i know the rebs get like 30 or 35 + hp... the confeds get 25+ hp and +3 attack, what do the wookies get to trump that? Rebs get a 30+ hp bonus and wookies get that plus +2 pierce armor and regeneration.
lukeiamyourdad
I think a bounty can kill a normal repeater(not confed, not wookiee, not rebel) without too much trouble. Well it loses a lot of hp but...
joesdomain
It just seems to me that Empire repeater troopers can take out Rebel bounty Hunters and vice versa easily. I sorta thought bounty hunters in Star Wars were suppose to intelligent, cunning warriors who had special abilities that made them a little bit better than a normal every day trooper. Tesla
Say if you had 15 bounty hunters and 15 troopers against you the bounty hunters although the cost more would most likely kick troopers butts well that's what i think!!!
lukeiamyourdad
well that's all because of the bounty's reload rate. It's normal. Or bouties would heavily kick jedi ass.
joesdomain
If you put same number of repeating troopers vs. bounty hunter then bounty hunters would lose in my opinion. Bounty hunter has a very slow reload rate. Repeaters shoot extremely fast.
Sithmaster_821
Yes but they hit hard and can take a lot of damage

True but if you concentrate their attack on one target ie- 1 by 1 you would lose some but not wiped out
